Is there any diegetic explanation on why we stopped needing to find places to store the eggs we found after chapter 2, or was it just because Toby realized it was tedious?

How much does testing for Consoles rape the game's release cycle?
Both Xbox and PS immediately fail any game that has a hard crash during testing (soft crashes that boot you to the dashboard don't matter), or if an achievement/trophy doesn't unlock (note, that they don't actually give a damn if they are unlocked correctly). Verification ends immediately upon a fail, and submitting the game again can take weeks before they get to it again.

I just no-hit the knight fight (except the goofy RNG final attack, but thankfully it doesn't count as a hit)

Wait a minute, when you look through a Shadow Crystal while in the Dark World in previous chapters, you would see the real world location you're in (the room with toys, the computer lab, the living room with the TV smashed, the church lobby) with the only exception being Kris checking if it affects the prophecy panels. But when you look through the Shadow Crystal while in the flower shop Dark World, Kris sees Noelle standing there? Are we just breaking the pattern to have more "alternate timeline" visions like in the Light World, or...?

Has anyone noticed that the Freedom Motif basically lost its meaning after Chapter 2?
With the exception of Gerson, the freedom motif is either included with goofy joke bosses like the Mikes, or only played for a little bit instead of having the full theme. Also either Eram or The Knight should of had the freedom motif in chapter 3.
