Taken from an anon over on 4chan. Unless they took it from somewhere else. Seems to compile much of our discussion into one theory. <KINO>

cud be gud
Both of these would make sense and actually be good so it won't ever happen.
So, a hypothetical:

What if you had a friend who you knew was working on something for years and years that he clearly put his heart into and already made a lot of money off of, only to kind of let slip something really big about the plot that he probably wouldn't want anyone else to know about? What if this same friend doesn't realize just how big this thing he ended up revealing is, and it would break his heart if someone let it slip before he had a chance to reveal it on his own?

Asking for a friend (not me).
Drop the lore trvke

Noelle has been listening to Berdly again.
Actually, in universe, Noelle is actually better at that sort of shit than Berdly is. One of her blog pages is basically all about her managing to find a boundary break in Dragon Blazers when she was a kid that she was always able to get back to by getting herself lost in an inescapable maze that wasn't meant to have any sort of exit (looping screens), but she always came up against a door by finding what was at first a random sequence of inputs that she found she could replicate perfectly later on, but it was a door that she could never figure out how to get past all by herself, and she actively asks people reading her blog for help in getting past it, offering to put them in her 'Hall of Fame' if anybody does know how. (Wink wink, nudge nudge)

So I started the game again, and with my hands shaking I went back into the maze.

But what's super weird, was that somehow, I was able to get RIGHT back to the door.

I was so happy I almosted started screaming again, but remembered to hold my breath halfway XD Now I was going to be able to see what was in the secret door…

Or so I thought XP It was locked. And I've never been able to find ANY key in the game that opens it.

Since then, I can actually get to the door pretty consistently if I concentrate.

Unfortunately I don't know exactly what I'm doing, and it feels different every time, so I can't give any advice XD

I know this sounds really really fake but if anyone ever figures out a way to open the door, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE sign my guestbook. I'll even put you in my hall of fame (you know, so there can be someone in it besides me XP)

Hmm, here's a thought.
Aqua looks a good deal like a younger Kris, and also has Jevil's laugh and some of his mannerisms. We know that from Ramb's revelations that Kris was the one who used the cards against Noelle in his 'dark world' fights. (He also had the seven flying aces to cheat with).
It's possible that Jevil, being the 'Joker Card' imprinted off of the Young Kris the most, as the Joker card doesn't exactly have anything about it that has a set existence.
Makes it more interesting that Jevil knows that the whole world is a cage, and so he put himself in a cage in order to be free. Almost like somebody tearing out their own soul and putting it in a cage to act freely, wouldn't you say?

hey guys

Has anyone SEEN Toby Fox recently? I mean the meatsack he inhabits.
This chapter should have been called: The Field of PINK & CYAN

I'm worried, haha
Last time he was seen in a photograph was 8 months ago at Sakurai's dinner, there was an edit covering his face with the annoying dog image, but you can tell that he clearly has stubble, so I don't feel like he's trooning out.
All the troony loony shit was thanks to his whip hand getting tired with the faggots he for some reason pays to work on the game... probably. I swear, he really could just get a team of bugmen devs and we'd have chapter six and seven in a year.

the problem with this is that japs are just as bad as troons when it comes to shipping good games. just compare the recent persona remakes to their originals or the FFVII remake.
fucking Pokemon is the biggest franchise on the planet and they haven't shipped a good game since the Nintendo DS. even the new Dragon Quest looks iffy and that's like, the biggest franchise ever over there

his literal best option to just like ship the game fast is to keep the trannies and keep his pimp-hand strong, or just suck Yoko Taro's dick and tap into whatever black-magick he's invoking to get good vidyas shipped in Japan which he'd probably do if given the chance.

Should have listened to the prophet, nothing good was ever gonna come out of this game.
It's over. Trannies won.
A bit egotistical of me, but this reminds me of a post I wrote a year and half ago:

It seems almost every part of Chapter 2 is centered around shipping in one way or the other, and when you're 23 and Susie starts gushing about how sweet and awesome Noelle is and asking "btw, which person are you going to go to the festival with?" and you have to choose between 3 different characters... I just feel a bit out of place [as someone who's over the target audience's age], you know.

[...]

Well, this person over the target audience's age wouldn't mind if these chapters didn't take more than 7 YEARS TO BE MADE, but I digress.

To be honest with ya, the only reason why I even bother following Deltarune to this day is because 16 year old me was really invested into it, and it would feel like a waste to just... stop caring about it.

... But again, I just can't stop thinking about it: I was in highschool when Chapter 1 got released, and now I have finished that, got my college degree, basically got my whole life together with a job and a (failed) relationship, and this game is nowhere near finished.

... Kinda horrifying honestly.

During re-entering the darkworld, after Assgore kicks you out, you land in jail and meet with one of the flowers.
Seth says that they "had a deal" before he opened the Dark Fountain.

What the fuck does that mean?
Is Kris just talking to flowers? How did they know who made the fountain?
Did the people in the Dark Worlds always know? Why didn't they snitch on Kris?
If you remember during the sword route in chapter 3, Tenna had a deal with Kris as well. Kris is making deals with these characters. At the end of Chapter 2, you see Kris whispering to the TV before opening the fountain.

Chapter 5 was alright. Most of the issues with it feeling underwhelming come from the high point 3 and 4 were on, and the structure of a 7 part story making 5 feel out of place. It feels like a thematic step back, like it should have been in the place of chapter 3, then 3 and 4 come after, but certain plot elements like asgores conspiracy and the knight taking people rely on previous story beats. It seems that since Toby had less time to finish it than the others it was lacking a certain polish of having more somber or slow moments, or "peeks behind the scenes", which 3 and 4 excelled at. It was TOO saccharine sweet, which thematically goes with the role the chapter is supposed to play, but still left a bad taste in my mouth after long enough. Reading the thread it seems the chud audience was the first to instinctively notice the fakeness was a big intentional part of the metanarritive because we're not more excited over gaynigga flowers or the susie/noelle stuff.

I really did like the platforming system. It's such an interesting shift that you can tell the fox found out how to do it and immediately had to design a chapter around it, which isn't itself a problem. Platforming and climbing segments are going to stick around, hopefully used in moderation, and they easily fit into the idea of breaking the games boundaries. I can forsee future scenes where you have to "glitch" your way past a wall or obstacle using the platforming to continue snowgrave or find more deep lore.

After about three hours of dealing with the flowers I was exhausted of them. Aqua and Green were straight G's, Yellow was great at first but overstayed his welcome. Blue and orange were a slog. Flowery should have broken MORE of the game to creep players out and give ralsei a more visible reason to hate him, to parallel him with flowey, even if he's not actually evil here. I am very proud of toby for actually finding a good way to make asgore not pathetic by the end of the chapter. Everyone was expecting this story to be about him trying to escape his troubles or "fix" his life with the dark world, but instead we learned that he has a deep grasp on what is real and important in his life, even if he stops to smell the flowers sometimes.

Now when it comes to thinking that this chapter reveals susie to be a doppleganging usuper, secretly masterminding the story to cuck Kris, well..... no. The Fakeness and weird focus on that stuff is because the story is reaching it's conclusion, and Toby needs to set up a gut punch or good ending conflict now before the finale. Should it have gone slower? yes. But it does manage to set up two tragedies in one go, at least as far as the average audience member is concerned. Normal route Noelle has a her "Best Day" end with her dad either about to die or more seriously injured. The day after, susie is going to try to introduce her to the prophecy and adventure all happily, completely unaware that happened or that Noelle's sister disappeared under similar circumstances. Weird Route Noelle is fucking losing it, tries to give all of her money away to susie, and then bets everything on gaster by forcing Kris to join her in a gambit where they either drown themselves or go out of bounds.

Toby is never going to subvert the susie/noelle thing. That's just not part of his playbook. The best we can hope for is that he plays it subdued, and all the sweetness here was getting it out of the way to do something more impressive later. A theory I cling to is that the intended playthrough of deltarune after it is released is normal route first, Snowgrave after (perhaps the normal ending is bittersweet, but you are warned that trying to break it could make it even worse), and then the very, very interesting "twisted" or third route that seems to be getting set up when you abort snowgraves, where you get to learn about all the mysterious stuff. If this is true, it makes the whiplash more impactful that the "Wholesome repressed lesbian sweet girl" from normal route is secretly mental, goes nuts learning she can break the world, and becomes a demon. It's exactly what's been getting set up in her backstory breaking games and being a horror enjoyer. Just like in undertale, toby sets up the bad route well. "Oh, you really want to see what happens? Okay, destroy the things you liked to progress." He can even pull a very effective creep out by, if snowgrave is completed and Noelle is "Used up", having your next route run be normal but BOTH Noelle and Dess are missing now. Empty dialouge boxes, messed up cutscenes. could be very cool.

The theme of Chapter 5 was fakeness, with flowery trying to keep the dark world open and asgore inside, but eventually they come to terms with reality. This is why both Ralsie and Susie are disturbed when he starts making decent points that his world is as real and deserving to stay open as castle town, because if they have to close this temporary world despite how friendly and nice it is, they know how the one in the school closet is going to end too eventually. Especially Susie is not going to let it go - she is literally living in the school closet now, because she was either homeless or has a terrible home life, and she is not going to want to leave the fantasy to go back to that. The ending being set up is that you eventually have to fight susie again, this time for real, to keep her from living in the fantasy, perhaps the same way Dess did. This might be the prophecy she shattered, "The Hero defeats the dragon" or something. You get a tragic ending unless you combine all the shadow crystals, perhaps Kris puts trust in the soul for something, and you are able to mercy her by showing that she has friends and people who care about her outside of the fantasy. It would be suitably compelling for a "good" normal ending.

Anyways that's my longpost.

I think this is the case for many people, however, some moved on from the game mostly, and are looking for closure of the story. After all, it's soon going to be over a fucking decade since he's started working on it.

Then on the other hand you have deviants and all other kinds of abominations who still fawn over some of these characters, usually to an obsessive degree and do not care about anything else other than their (perhaps sometimes even self-insert) character getting with another character.

I find this very thunk-provoking. Something to ponder once we stop Susie from perpetuating the dark worlds. (Very OFF) in that way.
I always thought that something along these lines would make the most sense, as the prophecy.
That's why when Susie breaks the panel she says to Ralsei something along the lines of "And you especially wouldn't let it happen.

If you told me Toby handed over the filler chapter to his b-team while he was busy playing Mario Kart with Miyamoto, I'd believe you.

Literally me bros.

Fuck reading this thread was a bad idea. I lost all energy to finish chapter 5.
Holy shit bros, i didnt think it was gonna be THIS bad. Why are we still doing this "quirk chungus" tumbler writing bullshit?!? We have TWO MORE CHAPTERS LEFT and not a SINGLE question has been answered.
Makes me wonder if 6 and 7 will be taken seriously from now on. I admit i got interested in deltarune mostly
for the meta narrative surrounding gaster and all that stuff. How tf is it that the marathon trilogy, all the way fromASTILL remains to this day one of the games that did the whole meta narrative about the player and the protagonist thing so damn well?
Toby obviously scared himself with the controversy over the rape allegory and gutted whatever the weird route was actually meant to be. His backwards Texas fundie mother must have fucked him up so bad that, in his mind, sexuality of any kind is only permissible when filtered through several levels of heckin' wholesome high-school-anime lesbiarino romance.
The deltarune that toby envisioned back in 2012 is 100% not the same deltarune we are getting. Toby should be ashamed of himself for screwing over his vision for a bunch of pansies. What a fucking joke.
