I don’t know if anyone has asked this question yet but what’s your favorite song from the Chapter 5 Soundtrack?

Mine has to be “Petal Dance”. Despite it being a Touhou ripoff/Very Touhou inspired, it’s probably the only song from Chapter 5 that I go back to listen to often and remember quite well although “Flower Man” is also pretty good too.

Dragonblazers may just seem to be a game, but it's one of the retellings of the prophecy just in the form of a game.
Kinda.

DB is based on Lord of the Hammer, which is itself based on the prophecy.

It'd be like a video game loosely based on The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, which is itself an allegory for the story of Christ.

Am I too retarded and have only noticed this now, or does Kris "decay" without the soul?
At the start of CH5, he climbs up the window, his skin has a green-ish colour and can only crawl.
When he gets the soul back in him, his color returns.
Did this ever happen in previous chapters?

I don’t believe so. In fact, one thing I don’t really understand is how in Chapter 5 it’s established that Kris cannot survive without the soul but in the previous Chapter he’s seen performing many different activities and behaving perfectly fine with the soul outside of him. I wonder if this concept was retconned in for this chapter although in the first couple of chapters it is shown that he could barely move without the soul although some people theorized that he was just doing this to scare the player.

Funnily enough, I actually think that the Dark Worlds will be more accurate to the events of Dragon Blazers than Lord of the Hammer. We've already seen that "Iceshock" is a spell in Dragonblazers, and I think what's happening is Kris and Noelle, when they were playing their pretend games (that lead to the creation of most of the Darkners we see) were more inspired by Dragonblazers than they were Gerson's book or the prophecy.
But that's mostly just spitballing.
Mostly because Gerson's "inferno of jealousy" sucked dicks.

He doesn't green out, actually.
He grays out.

I've seen a lot of chatter over the years that Kris can easily live without the soul and his zombie walk is just him being dramatic.

I think they deliberately made him look sickly to indicate he can only survive for so long without it before keeling over.

I bet that this was the original plan, then it got changed at some point. Aqua is pretty clearly based on Kris' younger self, Flowery seems to be somewhat based on Asgore's distant memories of Rudy from college, and given the older sibling dynamic she has with Aqua and the fact that we know Asriel is a nerd, Seth was likely a stand-in for Asriel before Toby randomly decided to turn her into Female Berdly.
These three flowers that map to existing lightners are coincidentally the ones that Toby himself designed, the rest just being guest characters. It also could have worked since there were seven of them, so there could be one for each Dreemurr and Holiday family member minus Asgore.
having this perspective changes things dramatically... of course it aint as good as a straight forward lighter recolor but it does improve c5 a little

Blue had to have the tutu and ballet slippers though to tie back to Undertale. I think all the flower people had both their associated murdered child items.

So it was either make Blue female or a cross dresser.
So they let some dipshit use the fanon idea of the Blue-hearted Human being a guy.

Wonderful.

No no, it's actually because all of the flowers have no idea what a human actually is, which is why Aqua has the wrong number of eyes, Orange is a mouse, Green is a mute mutant, and Blue is the least convincing of all, modelling itself after a nigger.
The closest I guess were Flowery, Aqua (despite the wrong number of eyes, seemed to base herself off of a more shithead version of Kris), and Seth, though Seth fell victim to the arm-long list of citations on the Deltarune wiki about Kris' gender.

Oh look, more EVIL SUSIE/TIMELINE FUCKERY evidence (this one is buried in the fucking yurislop interactions)

Okay so who's gonna be THE [furry little chinchilla] that [CO-OP OR SOLO] the game to find out what the [h1dden st0r13s, f1nd the 4rk!] SUPER SECRET LORE [ATONLY$4.99!!!] awaits us in chapter 7 [Insert Side B h e r e]???

See, I don't mind the flower designs when they commit more to their human counterparts (and when Blue is drawn more feminine). Actually would have been kino going up against each soul colour with our red one, with Flowery being the combination of all of them. Maybe would have made the final battle with Flowery mean more if we understood who all these humans used to be (or what memories the flowers have of their past selves), so when they combine their powers together it is literally: "with our powers combined/my friends by my side."

There is a really good chapter in here somewhere which is the most infuriating part.
