TOBY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING

And then there shit like this:

and THIS:

it would also explain why gaster nigger doesn't have any issues with the weird route
I thought it was a solid theory BUT
It only works on the assumption you're doing a weird route side by side with a normal playthrough. How could they have fused together if you've never given them the chance to?

The knight is Rudy using an item made by Kris' actual soul (a blue one). Rudy is an Amalgram, but hes holding on a bit better than the ones Alphys made.
Amalgams are monsters injected with determination their bodies couldn't handle and melted together. They specifically become amalgamates because they are multiple monsters.
If you want a better example of a monster with a body that was able to handle the determination and become fuckass OP (for monster standards) Undyne the Undying is right there, with her actual 99 AT and 99 DF and 23,000 HP, as opposed to the Knight, with 40 AT, 0 DF and 7300 HP. (Also, Undyne the Undying melts when you beat her, too.)

I'm not sure comparing game mechanics like this is totally accurate, but it bears consideration.

Toby successfully Homestuck'd his creation. Right as it starts turning into peak in the first half, it turns into an ultra gay, teeth-grindingly slow cuckfic because some Tumblr chukclefuck hijacks the writing process. I don't know if Toby actually has a ghost writer on hand, or if there actually is 7D chess writing at play, but if it's the case, I genuinely don't understand how mindrotted and retarded you'd have to be to stoop to this point.

Back on topic: this idea of Rudy having absorbed Kris' soul makes sense if you consider that monsters injected with determination look normal for a while. In UT, research notes indicate that every patient injected with determination healed from whatever ailed them, and on top of that, operated normally for a while. The way Alphys' logs are written, amalgamates turned this way over time, not instantly.

It's highly likely Rudy is in the first stages of this.

I have an even better theory

Toby Fox didn't think that far about the way monsters work in deltarune, and this speculation is pointless SNCA. You're welcome and you have hours of head scratching saved. Now go play Earthbound and Mother 3.

Undertale and Deltarune are cool sounding concepts and ideas over meaty story games to take dead seriously aside from their dark routes.

This will be a long wait. I hope Chapter 6 comes out with Chapter 7 for a nice surprise.
Steam store got updated the other day saying chapter 6 will be 2027. I doubt we'll get them both at once.

The lake scene is where it gets really awkward and strange. Does anyone else think Susie comes off as like, desperate? Like she's seems really forceful in trying impress Noelle and match her feelings, but there's not really anything to indicate why. The worst part is the "confession" where Susie says "Whatever way you meant you like me, I like you too." That's such an evasive, almost manipulative thing to say to someone if it wasn't so retarded that no one with any sense (not Noelle) would think it's romantic. Susie is completing avoiding expressing any real feelings from herself to just assure Noelle that she'll be whatever Noelle wants to her be so long as it gets her Noelle's affection.
I just take it that she's a girl without a normal home life and trying to latch onto anything that can seem normal. Chapter 5 should've explored that, not all the susie/noelle shit.
If my Mother 3 theory is right, then someone in town remembers (I think it's sans)
I think it's Sans and Papyrus. and that's why Papyrus is being kept out of the story, since he'd blurt it out.

So we know that Susie draws on a punch card after Sans asks us to. Coincidentally, in Undertale, we can go through some stuff at Sans's house to see a card with 3 people drawn on it with the text "Don't forget".

Well, that means this and that are the same thing from different worlds, case closed right? But hold it... If we tell Ralsei that we'll buy him ice cream in chapter 3, Susie will draw 4 people: Kris, Susie, Noelle and Ralsei", as we're getting ice cream for Ralsei as well. But if we are not going to promise to buy him ice cream, Suise will draw only 3 people as she dosen't remember about Ralsei. But... Still, this makes no sense. Why would simple ice cream have such an impact?

... That's because it's not about Ice cream at all

In the weird route, when we go to the ice cream stand, Sans will give the punch card again. But Susie will draw only 3 people: Kris, Susie and Ralsei. That's because she's not as close to Noelle as in the normal route. That means, what happens in Undertale is actually after the Weird Route, promoting Sans and Papyrus to move out to Undertale. And whatever happened made Sans write "Don't forget" on the Punch Card that's tied to the fun gang
You gotta remember what in Chapter 1, Sans was vagueposting that he was from Undertale already. Maybe he can jump between the two.
I just realized that "FLOWER MAN TRAPPED IN ASYLUM" probably doesn't actually mean the events of Chapter 5 at all. It's probably referring to where Asgore got taken by the Knight.
Nah, I think it was chapter 5. An asylum is meant for crazy people and that's what Asgore was being with his conspiracies about the dark world and fountains, and at the end he finally gave up on all of it.

All right, regarding the "Schizophrenic Evil Susie" theory. So chapter 6 finally rolls around and you walk into Castle Town. The first bit of dialogue you get is this. How do you react?

You VILL address her as Queen Susie from now on. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in Castle Town goes full YAAAS QUEEN mode.

There's no chapter 6 weird route because they skipped directly to the final chapter's dark world. Kris won't be around in chapter 6 to cause antics and open fountains, the Knight can't reach him either.
There is no weird route abort jingle if you don't proceed fully into darkest depths of the lake, There might be a weird route in Chapter 6.
