It's like Chapter 5 was specifically to mock the possibility of Kris and Susie ending up together, as to have Kris feel jealous and spiteful. Deltarune fans like to say that "Kris is their own person", but honestly, nothing made me more in sync with him that the ending. I just felt as sad and left out.
Susie not-so-subtly trying to replace Kris with Noelle could be building up to something, such as Susie blaming herself for Kris's potential future betrayal. If any of her behavior is actually recognized as negative, of course.
I think Mew Mew is supposed to be a lesson to Kris and the Soul to get along or something.
Kris feeling even more isolated than before, and choosing to reconcile with the one thing that can't abandon him sounds like almost too interesting a direction for the game to go towards at this point.

Noelle would 100% be the abusive one btw
I honestly agree, the minute Susie starts being soft and showing her true emotions, Noelle is gonna feel as stuck as she always was and just be straight-up cold to her.
Of course, I don't think any of it matters in the end since I guess the big twist in the story is that everyone's in a perpetual state of Groundhog Day, and we, the SOUL, only started to intervene on what I'm guessing is the final week until the apocalypse.

It's stuff like this and how forced the Suselle moments are that makes me sit in the camp of "Suselle is really the result of Gaster/whoever fucking with their minds to fulfill the prophecy." And Noelle's whole monologue in ch5's weird route helped further cement my position.

And it'd be a great moment for Susie when she realizes with horror that she was unwittingly playing into the very thing she swore to prevent, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if Toby's actually smart enough to go with that.

The insane humiliation ritual Kris is getting put through was not something I anticipated though. I knew Toby was a yurifag, but not an NTRfag.
NGL, it'd be extremely funny if the whole cuck humiliation ritual turned out to be punishment from whatever higher power that runs Deltarune for Kris working with the Knight.

So here’s the thing… Yes, this is all leading up to a massive crashout from Kris. Yes, Susie’s behavior lines up with a teenager being in their first relationship. Yes, there are allusions to other failed relationships. And yes, the Festival shows that Susie and Noelle both have much better chemistry with Kris than with each other.

But - and I ask this in the most sincere way possible - do you think Toby cares about any of that? Juvenile behavior? Cute yuri conquers all! Failed relationships? They just prove that this one will be different! Bad chemistry? That’s nice, but have you considered THE PENCIL?

Toby even drilled the point in by having Susie say that she always liked Noelle and the reason she even bullied Kris was because she thought the two of them were a thing. Toby does not care. It’s cute heckin’ lesbians, and that’s all the justification it needs.

As for the plot progression, it’s not that nothing at all happened, just that people were expecting several bombshells and all we got was on the same level as Chapter 3. And I like Chapter 3 more than most people, but we didn’t need a second chapter like it.

I hope I’m wrong. I want to believe that this is all part of some grand plan that will tie everything together and fix all the problems, but everything about this chapter was so bad that I’m no longer willing to give Toby “proud cuck” Fox the benefit of the doubt.

If the Knight is meant to be one of the Holidays, or maybe even Papyrus, how are they expected to not only carry Asgore's heavy ass to the bunker, but also ensure that at no point will he ever fight back or break free? They are built like twigs, and one of them is in very poor health. With a chloroform napkin and a trolley?

If the Knight is Rudy, maybe he could just drag Asgore to the Light World and say "trust me bro, you should follow me to the shelter, there's something cool in there"?

I sat back and let Toby cook. Whole chapter was highly enjoyable for me. I understand the writing process, and I like how he usually ignores the fanbase's demands and ideas. There were plenty of in-universe and out-of-universe reasons for a lot of his decisions.

>the 6 steven universe gems are stuck in the shop because plants die in darkness
>for logical reasons they literally cannot exist outside of this one chapter
>therefore Toby added an entire cafe for this dark world plus a fuckton of scenes that you can watch
>he knew the fanbase needed answers that no other chapter could provide
>the 6 flowers also parallel the human souls from Undertale so he also needed to give answers and fanservice to those Undertale fans who have been speculating since day 1
>gay blue faggot ballerina was inevitable - Toby has an entire quote about how contrast makes everything interesting - and in-universe, the flowers are shit at imitating humans correctly anyways

>purple flower receiving support for being enby in the cafe, and that princess ralsei moment in castle town, are both inexcusable gendergolem dicksucking though
>then again your party members were always "incestbait femboy" and "butch dyke" we should've seen more bullshit like this coming
>frankly it's impressive how much Toby has resisted the urge to pull the lever that says "everybody in all of my stories was actually a disgusting troon this entire time, all your theories are troons too, fuck you goodbye"

He has that Andrew Hussie energy in him. He just might try to own the chuds.

>I like mew mew though
>it's a genuine question of how the stupid ghosts work in Deltarune compared to Undertale, also a goofy parallel/inversion of Kris and the player
>you can call mew mew's situation tranny pandering or whatever if you want, BUT
>depicting a tranny as irrationally angry all the time, manipulative of their own body to the point of self-destruction, and also dead inside (literally a ghost) is correct and based
>and then in the cafe, you can tell them to their face that you literally did not give a fuck about their feelings and you only played along to win the battle
>even your dyke/femboy party members point out that a tranny's biggest weakness is pandering to their inflated ego

>suselle was always going to happen because Toby has always foreshadowed themes about the player's desires not necessarily resulting in good outcomes in his stories
>you wanna treat fictional characters like they're toys to be killed, manipulated, and fucked by the player at the slightest whim?
>well, too bad, I'm gonna treat the fictional characters better than I'm gonna treat you, the real human being who gave me money to play this
>Moon: Remix RPG Adventure is his big inspiration, you should've seen this bullshit coming

I still find it inexcusable that there's still ONLY tension regarding the prophecy, the Knight's identity, Ralsei's identity and secrets, and Kris's betrayal subplots. Seriously? Nothing for Ralsei's pre-existing subplots? There's even absolutely fucking nothing between Ralsei and Asgore except for one tiny scene where Asgore thinks, "Oh, is he hiding his true form or something?" in the most unnatural way imaginable. Not even going to ask why that disguise HAS to resemble his own biological son? Fuck off Toby, this is infinitely dumber and more forced than Toriel sleeping through Chapter 3.

After Mike's whole shtick was made just to poke fun of theorists, I do fear that Toby is fucking up his own story simply to avoid spoilers and/or maintain hype due to the release schedule. I'd be annoyed by these theorists, too, but damn. Don't fucking compromise your artistic vision, you autistic visionary. Or, maybe do. Then we can all be done with it faster.

You can give answers without making half of them some flavor of queer, and allowing trannies to design them to the point where at least one of them is an obvious self-insert. This is supposed to be Toby's game, not Tranny Fanservice. I don't care if there's queers, but I care if them being queer is more than half their personality.

I think the running consensus is that, some way or another, the knight remains the knight in the light world, since the black shard from its sword stays a black shard in the light world.

So, sans gives you bread that crumbles, right?
Ostensibly this is to give people a trail of breadcrumbs to follow Kris, but in the OG Mother, there's also a crumbly bread item that's used to warp you when you use it a second time back to where you first used it. There is, in fact, a famous glitch involving giving the bread to a temporary party member that allows you to glitch out of bounds and head straight to a lategame area.

Kinda funny we get it just before using a temporary party member to go out of bounds straight to chapter 7.
I also noticed that it's a mandatory item and you can't drop it either. There is a drop option but it just says "Couldn't".
