I'm guessing that the reason why the date wasn't shown in-game like the last time is because it's an optimistic estimate, whereas the previous one was a lot more set in stone. Remember, the reason why Chapter 2 took so long was because Toby was experiencing chronic wrist pain at the time, but still tried his best to deliver (I can actually respect him for that, especially compared to YanDev and blaming it on having to respond to e-mails).
If there's anything I expect from the fact that Weird Route skips Chapter 6, is that it's going to be an exposition dump heavy chapter, which is why seasoned players who go for an alternate route would want to skip it.

Man chapter 5 really was something. That weird route, what's gonna happen? And the mysteries with the goners and onionsan? What was that about? And who really is the knight and what happened on the date of Dess's disappearance?
Now I know a lot of you want answers, but here is a thought. What if Ralsei cut his dick off? Hear me out! He's a feminine guy with a lot of emotions regarding the events at hand. Now he could decide to deal with these emotions in a productive manner in a way that advanced the plot, but instead we could have a scene where you climb a tower and he is in drag. Then in chapter 6 he can start using pronouns like she and they. Is the hamfisted? No, not at all. Ralsei was always a woman true and honest.
What? You think this sounds like grooming? How is a confused young man dealing with world ending responsibility being gaslit by a mature mentor/rival character into doing things like "drinking the blue and pink drink" grooming? Ralsei wanted it, Flowery said so himself!

The right wing chud fans who enjoy the strange events and mysteries the game presents are WRONG! Everything up to and including chapter 5 was actually about Ralsei taking drugs to be a pretend girl and Susie and Noelle having lesbian times; everything else is just window dressing that doesn't need to be looked at.

just thought of something that would've made this chapter infinitely better.
what if the flowers would've just been recolors of lightners and the chapter would've revolved around how the asgore perception of his family, friends, etc and the expectations he had of them if and when he gets to reveal what the dark fountains are. with said flowers pushing him deep into the delusions of the dark world to "keep finding clues" as a way to cope for the disappearance of Dess in a safe place where everyone loves him.
we could've also have interactions with the perceptions asgore has of Kris, Toriel, Carol, Noelle... maybe even Asriel (though it could also not be, being that maybe being that he went to his uni it may signal that he won't be seeing him anymore)
we could've seen flower in flower interactions with data HE knows each lightner has, alongside fake information he interpreted.
and discerning whats true from whats false would be the "asgore fight" with only him accepting any "unfortunate events" being the way of defeating him.
I dont know what the secret boss could be with this theory but im thinking yall could find a good idea to fill the gap

The only permanent changes going forward are Asgore being Kidnapped, Susie and Noelle being openly romantic with each other and cucking Kris, and Ralsei using Fire Magic.
Literally everything else is the status quo from the end of CH4, it's entirely possible that you could just skip this chapter entirely when 6 comes out and miss absolutely nothing besides those handful of events.
Are you suggesting that Toby changed his original plan for 5 because too many people liked Kris and Susie together and so he raped the plot to make the polar opposite happen or are you just making a joking connection between "Toby cucks to his fans" and Toby having an apparent IRL cuck fetish
