honestly, what the fuck. i didn't see it coming, that the main plot point of deltarune is that it's a videogame, bound by fate. and you must go out of bounds.

i think i know what happened. i can only speculate and guess but... i believe that forgotten man is the devil, who set up the weird route. the first instance of a devil goes back to ch1, secret boss of which attempts to gain freedom from fate. "on friday, i leave leftovers in a dumpster" - he was the one to provide thorning to spamton. hell, he even communicated with us directly in last round of the arg, oddly in lowercase. + tail of hell being made up out of 11 circles.

we are going to beat gaster's ass in chapter 7 side b. but looking at it now, i doubt that we'll figure out forgotten man's motives in this state...

I would never have seen that coming. concept of the world being a videogame brought into reality... it's exactly what i was afraid of becoming a plot point in the game. it really does recontextualize the secret bosses however. "That's why you're searching for them, aren't you? the SHADOW CRYSTALS... and the shadow mantle that I am holding!"

However. there is one last thing. what's up with friend? with all of the foreshadowing, i thought that he is very important to the plot and has his own motives. and we didn't get any info about him in this chapter isn't it, even on the weird route? i have believed that he is eram, but now...

the glass is rotting. my faith in this game shatters. i want my theories to be true, i want to believe. but man can only dream. will i awake in heaven, or in crude, dark reality?

...

everything have fit so perfectly. too perfectly. it was a good run. Let the corpse rot like a spoiled bread.

or will you finally wake up, with a clear sight like never before, to finally make the story you truly want?

will you?

Rudy knight, he was barely able to stand up during his appearance because he fell during the festival
Rudy's "chill guy" shtick is totally a cover for how utterly furious he was/still is about Dess's disappearance. I'm guessing he entered into some sort of deal to become the Knight (so he can create dark worlds to search for her) and the power is slowly.killing him.

when i first saw that part of the sword route, when noelle and kris were used up... a certain phrase have appeared in my head. "Crew Expandable." The name of that cod4 mission taking place on a ship.

How curious.

Do you mean to tell me that both Asgore and Rudy went off the deep end?

Well, I can believe that as a possibility, but I really don't want it to be true.

but flower can only dream. will i awake in heaven, or in crude, dark reality?
Flowery, is that you?

There's the text for the undertale alarm clock that gives lore about the undertale counterpart of Rudy, TL;DR he fucking died of old age, and the 2 sisters are still alive.
Considering how young Noelle looks in the 10 years anniversary, I think Dess is actually dead, and that caused Rudy to live longer due to how monster aging works.
I don't think the evil rory nite power is killing him, rather he ha a foot in the grave already.
chapter 7 side b
A.K.A.: toby got really fucking bored with the weird ass ruote, so he's skipping a chapter because he ran out of ideas already.

FUCK susie FUCK noelle FUCK ralsei FUCK spergly, Kris should date the true hero of the game instead

I think Friend is just a red herring at this point.

So this is interesting, apparently if you try to beat Flowery with violence, Ralsei and Susie stand up to you, heal him back to full, and refuse to fight anymore.
It's not just Flowery, every single one of the dogshit OCs are immune to the Fight command except Seth and Aqua.

They either heal to max, are immune to damage, or do that bullshit Flowery does and makes it so your own fucking team mates refuse to do what you say.
Abysmal Dogshit.
You two little niggers are getting snowgraved for this shit.

This does confirm that Aqua and Seth are the only actual fucking tolerable characters though.

Seth is kinda ass, Aqua hard carries her.
I hate to say that Flowery grew on me, unlike the rest, he's intolerable by design, and a victim of his own abilities to forge illusions.
He's written relatively well as the anti-charismatic villain you are meant to hate, meanwhile someone like yellow and green simply sucks.

I've never played Deltarune and if I ever was I was not going to do so until the damn thing was actually done, but I've been observing as the chapters come out and it seems to be on a pretty downward trend. It seems each chapter stays relevant for less and less time to the point I only know Chapter 5 is out is because of the damn feature of this thread. Chapter 2 was all over from casual internet viewing, Chapter 3/4 there was buzz but it didn't last nearly as long as 2 and was absolutely hype-mogged by the superior Silksong bull, now to not seeing much about 5 at all within a few days of it's release when it should be at it's peak.

It's just interesting to me, but I think Toby fucked it up with his shitty staggered release and it's final product will suffer for it's episodic release schedule when it's actually done and can be viewed as a singular product.

*edited to reflect my initial incorrect chapter numbers.

Última edición:
I didn't realize until now, but I did not collect all the eggs in my pacifist run. If I grab it in chapter 3, is it permanently marked for that save slot, so I don't need to replay Chapter 4 just so it counts the egg?

HUGE THEORY I MIGHT'VE FIGURED OUT

I think Ralsei changed the prophecy in chapter 5. I kept thinking today "Where the hell was the whole field getting charred in an inferno of jealous"? Then it hit me.

1)Throughout the chapter, Ralsei and Flowery are constantly at each others throat.
2)At one point near the end, Ralsei tells Flowery that he has the ability to destroy this dark world.
3)At the end, Susie almost gets hit by the ninja star but Ralsei burns it before it can hit her.

I think the Prophecy had Ralsei burning the whole dark world, but he stopped himself, which now shows that the prophecy can be changed.

Simulation theory:

I saw someone in this thread complaining that the game better not end with "it was all a simulation". I've theorized for a while, that that's what's going on, so I'll explain for the first time ever.

I believe that there was once a computer with Undertale installed on it. During the True Pacifist ending, Flowey/Asriel point out that it's just a game and a happy ending will make you want to not play the game anymore.

Then there's Gaster, he fell into the code of the game and was shattered. I believe that at some point in time, he gained enough of a conscious to make the Deltarune program that he's running. But before that, he made the Goner creator for chapter 1, which is also a program now. I also believe that he was fiddling with a virtual pet program on the computer and messed it up and Friend is leaking into Deltarune from it. Digging through the game files, Friend has file names similar to main programs, same thing with the goner creator.

Which also ties into my schizotheory of Flowey being the Prince from the Dark, as the sole remaining occupant of the underground at the end of True Pacifist and somebody who is well aware of the game being... well, a game. Also ties in to both his ability to show up at random in other Dark Worlds (Flowey could pop out of the ground anywhere) his weird immunity to petrification (Flowers are neither Darkner nor Lightner) and the cryptic bullshit that Flowery was saying to him. If it really is Flowey, then the fact that he's a Flower with Determination means that he literally can't die from lack of sunlight or whatever either.

Man the player forcing post True Pacifist Asriel/Flowey to watch them do some seriously fucked up shit in Weird Route is extremely fucking funny in hindsight.

I followed the Ralsei = Flowey/Asriel theory till chapter 3/4, which then got disproven, then in chapter 5, the whole "you know about changing your stats" thing along with Ralsei explaining the User Interface in battle to Susie and Kris kinda brought that theory back and to the forefront.

Chapter 3 and 4 released together on the same day, so looking at the internet buzz separately doesn't make sense. Silksong came out 3 months later. Both of them managed to crash the Steam store though.

They were...? I must have been thinking of chapter 2 then. I messed up where they were grouped, I thought 1/2 were together and not 3/4. The Spampton one had way more normie internet lifetime than the TV guy one, to be more clear and not mess it up with wrong numbers.

Okay, but why do you desire to harm the Steven Universe flower creatures? As per the gospel of Science and Media Literacy, they're impeccable because some of them are queer, and therefore the player should never harm any of them. Don't you know that you're being -ist and -phobic in reality if you do that, chud?

I started cheating because I was getting bored of the chapter, and the game crashes if you do enough damage to Blue to "kill" him. Once I found out you couldn't kill him, I stopped playing. Shit just drags on and on and on.

Woohoo.
