Gerson was right, we should actively defy the prophecy, as it is literally gay and figuratively retarded.
That old turtle fuck is a man of god and has spent decades trying to prevent this gay nigger prophecy.
It's only right we honor his sacrifice and force Noelle to suicide in the lake with us, it's what he would've wanted.

I really love how these were done, I could watch a couple of hours of Noelle going insane. It's honestly amazing how better and more interesting Noelle is when she is not attached to Susie. It's like an entirely different character.
THAT'S the weirdest thing about Suselle to me, I don't even like Noelle, but she can be a surprisingly interesting and crazy character when it's just her or with Kris, but anytime Susie's on screen, the only lines we ever hear from her are her reacting to her and Kris being weird and way better friends than her, or this

If I remember correctly, it's the reverse. Noelle was just hanging out with Kris (somehow it was forced for years in childhood) to get to Susie, and Susie got butchered to randomly become obsessed with Noelle despite having met for all of an hour the day before an antimatter cuck scene. After said scene, every connective suggestion from Susie has to involve Noelle. (from what I've read in this thread)

This is probably even worse of a situation.
I thought susie was new, like she'd just moved there? I don't remember them being said to be friends in childhood but I could be wrong

Another point so i don't have to make a whole separate post, I do like the weird route despite it being short and a cocktease. It pissed me off how his brainrotted teenage fans keep going "ShE's TrYiNg To DrOwN ThEm" when she's obviously trying to phase out of bounds to a place the game couldn't put the characters because it doesn't exist (ie Kris feeling Dess push them back from the other side of a wall)

I bet the twist is Dess hanged herself because Carol told her to grow up and because Carol is evil incarnate, doesn't learn anything from her first dead kid. It'd be neat if Dess became hyper aware that she was in a video game, completely lost her shit and killed herself because of the cosmic horror that no one is real and nothing objectively fucking matters. It's overplayed and autistic, but I have a soft spot for the "fictional character gains sapience and doesn't handle sapience well" trope. It's rarely if ever done correctly and satisfactorily though.

ngl i kinda expected this the moment he willingly collab'd with vivzie on that homestuck short. i didn't expect to be this bad though holy shit!

Kris and Noelle just kill themselves and you get locked out of chapter 6.
Is that true? I did my first playthrough on the weird route and I didn't get any message about being locked out. I really liked the ending as well, Noelle dying(?) then the worrld going on with even Susie making a space for her in the Dark World despite the fact she is probably(?) dead or worse was really cool.

Honestly, yeah probably my least favorite chapter, mew mew was fun, not a satisfying secret boss, Gerson being a non-crazy secret boss was a nice change of pace, but we need more subversive rule breaker secret bosses. And I have a HIGH tolerance for gay shit, but this was fuckin' a lot. Gay nigger flower. I liked/despised Flowery, if they didn't push the anime thing harder he would have felt like Tenna 2, which is what I thought he was for a second. Getting cucked out of explanations got old 2 chapters ago, Toby nigga you gotta give us some bigger crumbs, I wouldn't be so mad about the pacing of gaining information if the game came out completed, but waiting a year or more to have Ralsei explain something we all figured out years ago is dreadfully annoying.
This makes me like chapter 3 a little more, not that I really disliked it too much, but the hidden stuff was exciting and interesting, not an afterthought.
Also I can't defend Noelle anymore, she turned Susie into a faggot for half of the chapter. We go from "Oh she doesn't hate me, to oh she's a pretty cool friend, to OH LUV I THINK, MAH HEART, LET ME HEAR YOUR'RE HEART BEAT, WHAT IS LOVE, I LOVE HER." in the SPAN OF THREE DAYS. Can this LIZARD NIGGA calm down. I am going to draw Kris and Berdly committing an incel columbine now.

"Hmm well surely the Redditors and Suselle shippers loved this, right?"

Toby...
Dear god if his dickriders hate it, it must be bad. Every writing class I've been in has told me over and over EVERY ACTION MUST SERVE THE PLOT. "Hey look, here's the entity trying to end the world! Hey look, here's a LITERAL FUCKING WORLD ENDING MONSTROSITY HELLBENT ON DESTROYING THE EARTH. Nvm, I'm gonna gush about my new girlfriend and we're going to fuck around in flowerland for awhile, not like THE WORLD IS ON THE CUSP OF ENDING, OR ANYTHING

Jesus, Toby. You're 35, you ought to know better.

That part was about Kris and Noelle. Accidentally made that unclear, but she did say that it always felt forced during the Holiday House closet scene, no?
Yeah you're right, it's hard to keep track with multiple shes

Alright, so I checked this thread to see if this chapter was worth buying (I’ve liked the series so far), and I’m seeing a lot of discussion about the story, but I guess I gotta be the one to ask the only question that actually matters:

How was the music?

We all know that Tricky Tony’s only actual talent is the music he writes, and yet I’m not seeing jack shit being said about that aspect of this chapter. I don’t give a shit about how lame the story is (sounds pretty lame though), and I don’t give two squirts of piss about how woke and gay that shit is, because frankly that shit doesn’t matter and never has; I’m just curious if the soundtrack lives up to the expectations built up by the previous chapters.

Can a darkner get some banger tracks? How’s the one aspect of this series that actually matters hold up this time around?

Some of the music was nice, but nothing on the level of TV Time or any of the Sanctuary themes.

How was the music?
Maybe I need a second playthrough or something but none of the music felt memorable or interesting. There was one song, I think it played when fighting Aqua and Seth, that stood out to me solely because it felt very Touhou-inspired (it's called "miniboss_new_section_idea_wip.ogg" in the game files). Everything else was either bland or complete ass (looking at you, Mew Mew fight theme). Not to speak of the multiple instances of songs being reused or remixed from previous chapters. Field of Hopes and Dreams was peak, and Garden of Hopes and Dreams just wasn't.

Real talk, if I were some loser teen like p"e"zzapants and I thought some hot (if a bit weird) chick were hitting on me only to find our it's my homo coworker, I don't care if I'm bisexual or a closeted gay or whatever, that's pretty messed up either way. Of course, this is a toby fox game, so we all know they're gonna gay kiss
Toby-sama, I kneel
Edit: I havent seen anyone mention it but the gaster follower is selling onion flavored fried octopus???

Did I fucking eat onion-san???

Forgettable and recycled. They don't sound terrible, but it's somewhat like tracks with the philosophy of Sweet Cap'n Cakes themes mixed with filler tracks that are nods to the previous chapters. You also don't get the usual soundfont trickery of Toby, because there's Japanese instruments everywhere.

Speaking of which, I believe this despite being a weeb: The Japanese theming of this was completely unnecessary and only served further confusion. Because if you're theming this around Japan, why would you repel the logical Western audience of anime and manga, which are those who are disillusioned with Western media due to progressive bullshit? The only people that this chapter appeals to are those people on Discord who have anime profile pictures because they're heckin' valid and real women.
