Case in point: the trannies that transitioned because of fucking Celeste. The whole game is a simple metaphor of the protagonist climbing a mountain. It's not that deep at all, but the devs retroactively changed the story to be an allegory for becoming trans, and this is apparently the big turning point for the perpetually online to start shoving dirty needles full of estrogen. I'll never understand.

Imagine your life being so finicky that a fucking VIDEO-GAME changes you.
The funniest fucking part is how the story literally has nothing to do with being trans. I explicitly remember up til like a year after release EVERYONE said Celeste was supposed to be an analogy for overcoming anxiety or whatever. Like, literally every video essay prior to that fucking retarded one image the creator made with a tranny flag in it was titled something like "this game cured my anxiety" or "how Celeste deals with anxiety" or whatever. They literally memory hole'd the fucking ACTUAL message with a lazy skin suit overtop what the actual plot was and you can still easily tell it wasn't originally about hecking valid troons. And most faggots will get angry if you "deadname" the original plot (aka what it actually is) rather than the current bullshit.

I guess, in its own way, it became its own analogy for troons in the end. A fake piece of shit that by trying to objective turn itself into something that it isn't made it ten times worse.

Put yourself in the developer's shoes - it makes complete sense.
You've got your generic platformer shilled to high heaven. Now what?
People are going to forget about it in a few months. Not a single element is remarkable.
If only there was some way to turn that embarrasing on-the-nose platitude plot into something culturally relevant...
...and you could make it about you.

Good morning everyone.

It's funny. Whilst Toby Fox spends all this time crafting these deeply layered characters making the most out all sorts of really creative situations he puts them in, the narrative is so ridiculously contrived, filled with comically railroaded coincidences and deus ex moments that feel ripped straight from the JRPGs he's deconstructing from.
It always bugged me those tagalong characters that dont react to anything in old jrpgs, except for some scripted scenes. Susie & Ralse are usually a far cry from that, but there are parts where it feels egrerious they dont say shit even when it seems like the circumstances beg for it.

Ralsei is definitely making comments on this shit, just not when we're around. The sneaky bastard sent us away in Chapter 4 to spy on Susie so he could have a chat with Kris. Susie may just be intentionally ignorant so as not to disrupt this new friendship.

It is annoying to me that Susie knows Ralsei can travel between dark worlds, but doesn't ask or say anything about the fact that there's a dark world in the bunker, that undyne is trapped in, that Ralsei could theoretically travel to at any time. Instead Ralsei just says "don't worry about it! Let's have tea!"

That fucker is up to just as much as Kris. Mark my words.
