You don't understand, she got drunk and lost track of time on a weekend, she's clearly a raging alcoholic who abuses Kris. His room isn't empty because he's an underachiever, it's empty because Toriel just doesn't love him enough.

Toriel is cannonically an alcoholic. The alarm game diaries thing toby released after undertale and before deltarune confirms she had severe issues with alcohol and flowey was trying to help her. Multiple characters remark on it.

Deltarune may be the latest pieces of the story but Undertale is required reading.

All goofs and technicalities aside I suppose it couldn't hurt? I think it'd be funnier if it was changed to something like "Deltarune & Deltarune's Prequel".
