If Ralsei really is some kind of childhood Kris ideal image turned Darkner, then I see even less of a reason for him trooning out. Kris didn't either, he just started seeing himself as an empty vessel without gender post Gaster.

Ultimate troll move would be to reveal both Kris and Ralsei are actually girls (female) and they get together to appease Toby's lesbian fetish. Susie and Noelle don't get together and instead form an actualy harem love triangle with Berdly. Everyone on all sides of the fanbase freak out as all their shipping stocks crash.
I hope that Gaster actually appears, and I hope it's a massive anticlimax to screw with the theorists. He shows up at the festival with no fanfare, checks out Sans' new house, and leaves the next day.
Tbh, Toby would be committing a writer's suicide if he does that. Especially since gaster has been such a hyped mysterious character since undertale's days. Problem is how he's gonna exceed everyones expectation of who gaster is supposed to be. It's a given a majority of people will be disappointed regardless.
Hot take: noelle and kris as a couple is FAR better thanks to the backstory and history surrounding them. The section where noelle tags along with you in ch 2 is my favorite. Loved trolling the shit out of her with the mice puzzle. Issue is that compared to krusie, it STILL feels half baked. Shame cause i always found endearing, if a bit slightly annoying.
