He's clearly not fully illiterate since he's been able to post on this forum and, you know, use computers in general, but on the other hand some of his posts are borderline unintelligible (he once misspelled "Deagle Nation" as "Deagle Nagion"...) and he's not online very often; he posts to Twitter only very rarely, and his Steam isn't even that active at all, only going on once every few weeks to play a game for an hour or something before logging off again. Given this, my theory is he enlists other people's help when extensive reading/writing is required and otherwise he just doesn't bother trying; either that or he can read a sentence, it just takes him a while to do so and great effort. But then again, these are just shots in the dark. We really don't know specifics about his entire reading situation beyond the fact that it's impaired.

I think besides the matchbox cars and the analchest cookbook the best part was Tyce drawing crayon swastikas all over the walls. Who the fuck does that? It's like a 10 year olds idea of cool but Tyce has never grown out of it and never will.

Yeah definitely, one of my favorite parts from T-ZONE 1 was him taking a full minute to read the phrase "Jail Door" out loud from the HUD, stumbling each time he said it.

Not a direct mention, but if I remember correctly, Tyce said (Or Jace said that Tyce does this) he blackmails his dad regularly about him having an affair to get shit he wants, so it can be assumed that his mom is still in the picture and didn't bail like Jace's dad.
I don't have a source for this as I don't remember when this was said, I just remember it being said. It could just be a part of my imagination.

I seriously doubt that Jace himself would simply have crayons lying around for like no reason at all. It seems more plausible that Tyce would carry them around for whenever he feels like scrawling swastikas on random people's walls for like no reason.

Functionally, he's comparatively light years ahead. Everything else? I don't know about that.
I just want to think Tyce is just an immature idiot who will grow up and realize the error of his ways, but then again, whipits, paint thinner, and other substances he's huffed (and yes these two at least are confirmed via Tyce's first post here, and Jace's Tyce Facts, respectively) probably make that possibility remote. (the peak age for inhalant use in America is 14, so there's no telling where he started)
