Admittedly I have never seen Steven Universe so I'm going to guess these are a bunch of Ragtag Misfits that Steven used Talk no Jutsu on for some reason
These are all tertiary characters, except for the kid with the star on his shirt (he's the main character and is largely unaffiliated with them). And yes, they've actually formed an team that does SNCA for an episode or two.

But still, just how many people actually watched that show and it's spin-off series?

This articles picture is an example of a a pet peeve of mine when it comes to TV Tropes. So many article pictures are from some obscure, childish, nerd niche media that hardly anyone has heard of rather than use a picture from a more popular media property that would convey the trope in an easier way for outsiders to understand.
That and like the same 5 or 6 webcomics as a huge number of example images/article pictures for some reason. I don’t know why the entire site is so obsessed with said small number of webcomics.

My guess is that the webcomic authors added the pics themselves, to try to get hits on their wapanese slice-of-life lolsorandumb trantifa horse shit comics.

Iirc, one of those webcomics gave TVT carte blanche to use his shit however they wanted. It's one of those inoffensive meme comics, I honestly don't know which one.

This wound up biting them in the ass when the author of Sinfest lost his shit and embraced esoteric Nazism (originally he was a pretty milquetoast centrist who liked Obama, then he became a proto-terf, then a terf, then embraced literal esoteric Nazism), because now they want to go back and strip out the shitloads of images they pulled from it, as the author embraced a disagreeable ideology.

The latest article literally has "Adulting" in the title and is complaining about how hard it is to be forced not to just be a non-productive man-child forever.

While all the characters are different colors with different designs; what about this picture conveys any kind of idea that these characters are a team of misfits come together to save the world? Its just a bunch of humans with bad haircuts. Admittedly I have never seen Steven Universe so I'm going to guess these are a bunch of Ragtag Misfits that Steven used Talk no Jutsu on for some reason. My point is that this is from a show for children and manchildren that does not have universal appeal that unless you are a cartoon obsessed sperg you are not going to know who these characters are or why they are outcasts banding together to be heroes. Rudolph at least has a better chance of reaching a larger audience and conveying the idea behind the trope.
You have to know about Steven Universe to understand this image at all, and I man you had to have suffered through it like I did. Those are the Off Colors, a group of genuine freaks with unappealing designs that you don't meet until DEEP into the series. A better example that more people would understand would be the Guardians of the Galaxy or any shot from a cowboy movie where people have varied designs.
Troping yourself is pure loser shit. I think most newcomers on the site don't do it, even when I was 14 hanging out on TVT I thought it was dumb as hell.

You click on a profile and you see this, and it's an immediate indicator that you are dealing with a manchild.

Kuruni is also well-known for being a total asshole, even by power troper standards

They did use a picture from Guardians of the Galaxy for a period of time. No it wasn't the titular characters themselves it was the Ravagers, the space pirates Starlords blue adoptive father commanded and it was a shot of a bunch of random dudes just standing around. Great job TV Tropes.

GRASPING AT STRAWS WITH THE SCARY MOVIE POONER, I KNEW IT :story:

And no, they're not "respectful", they mock the genderspecials even more than the other characters.
And are they seriously considering "pooner (along with theybie) is one of the first characters to die and stays dead until the end where they fucking burn her and the theybie" a win? :story:

Última edición:
Base Breaking Character is probably one of the most honest tropes on the entire website. You can usually tell that the base isn't broken at all and the opinion is almost entirely negative.

Sorry for my examples being too bullshit ass shows, but it's just to emphasize how heated the guys writing this were.
