So, someone lost their account for arguing with Fagteer, again. So let's what caused this shitshow.

As we're all well aware from Null's announcements, the people at Riot Games has figured out an way to genuinely fuck with hackers by frying their hardware (probably not literally) in one of their side games. And Fighteer is siding with Riot on this. You don't need much of an explanation on how radioactive this is.

With someone else repeatedly poking the glowing pile of dog shit, he blames it on a set of anticapitalists for subverting the debate and quickly goes back to blaming the hackers for forcing Riot to go for the Kernal 0 bullshit

Fagteer won the slapfight, solely because he didn't directly insult the userbase. But the jannies have publicly stated that most of them are heavily against Riot's "solution" and Fighteer's statements

The problem with trying to deconstruct Star Wars is that Star Wars is, from the ground up, a "Good vs. Evil and the good guys will win eventually" story. Avellone tried to present the idea that The Force is evil or at the very least morally ambiguous and causes more problems than it's worth...but the Force is ultimately a force(lol) of good. Even in the game itself, the force sensitive player character still saves the day by killing the pure evil Sith. It's like Tolkien in that way, it's so simplistic that if you deconstruct it too much, it just morphs into something unrecognizable.

Which gets kind of boring, after a certain point. But at the end of the day, the presentation of it is ultimately what matters.

This could have been an interesting idea. Just not with Star Wars, since anything that deviates from the norm gets undone and shit just stays the same for an long period of time. And it certainly doesn't help the Dark Side usually just forces people to go full retard. The only person that I've seen who was (largely) unaffected by this was the Count, but even then he had his moments in that one CGI cartoon
