Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

I could have sworn there was some shit like maybe “patriot phone” that did hit the market and turned out to be literally just rebadged from the PRC.
You are right, there was something called the Freedom Phone released back in 2021.
The guy claimed that he worked with people making it but in reality, he probably just bought them in bulk with Alibaba

I won't say I agree with the implication that the billionaires are the root of all evil (or the generalization in general, in modern day), but most importantly I think you're a well-read person who has core beliefs that drive this opinion, and our personalities and potentially worldviews are just different, hence this disagreement. I just blame the government first and foremost, rather than anyone using it for their benefit. This is literally the "agree-to-disagree" part, as far as I'm concerned.
As far as my personal beliefs, I've said it here quite a few times. I'm a libertarian essentially (with maybe some slight differences here and there on some issues, but at the core I'm basically a libertarian). I don't have a inherent hatred of billionaires or the rich, and especially not of capitalism. I believe capitalism has the potential to be great. What I'm saying doesn't stem from any kind of inherent dislike for most of the things involved in this subject matter. Really it's the opposite, I think people should be able to get rich if they provide value to society, they put in the work, and pay attention to market demands. I think it's perfectly fine for billionaires to exist, and there isn't anything inherently bad about it.

I don't think the billionaires are the root of all evil. But if you are blaming the system and not blaming the people that have shaped the system over the last 100+ years, it misses a core part of the problem. The laws, and power structure of our country didn't get this way on it's own. And it didn't just happen to work out in favor of what these companies want on accident. Billionaires have essentially been able to bribe, and buy out the government for quite a while now. The only way you can really put blame on the system without also putting blame on the people that are spending god knows how much to push the system in favor of what they want is to say the system was broken in the first place by allowing rich and influential people to buy out our public servants. Otherwise, it's billionaires that are shaping the system itself where they can to provide the results they would like to see for their bottom line.

I will expand on what I said about the system itself. It does need to be fixed, because if the ultrarich are able to pay to influence it this is going to continue, at the detriment of everyone else. I personally believe the only way to limit the scope of corruption is to limit the power the system itself is able to yield. The only fool proof way to stop it is to put limits on the scope of it's power, and on the people working in it. The avenues that are currently used to buy out people need to be completely closed. Corruption is going to happen in any system, especially one that is allowed to grant itself more power than it already held, and only fixing the problems it's caused without fixing the issue itself will just lead to the same thing happening again later down the line.

That said this didn't happen in a vacuum. And I think it's absolutely safe to put as much blame on the people that are willing to take advantage of it at the cost of everyone but them as I put on the failings of the system itself. Our congressmen are able to be bought and sold, the same thing for our presidents. The supreme court, idk I honestly haven't looked into the ways they are able to be influences so I won't say they are able to be bribed the same way, but i imagine it's probably at least somewhat similar. I would be surprised if there weren't people trying to lobby them some way or another.

I could pretty much write a never ending list of all the ways these things have been used at the detriment of the American people, but for the benefit of a small few. Louis Rossman's channel goes over some of them. And the things he covers do make a difference for normal people but what he covers is pretty limited in scope (right to repair, privacy, etc), there is SOOO many more examples of this kind of thing outside of that.

Absolutely insane.

Gone With the Wind was a FANTASY.
You see this magical thinking all the time especially with incels. Ah, if only they were born in the antebellum south they'd be the son of a plantation owner and court beautiful debutantes at balls.

Definitely wouldn't be a poor white man performing backbreaking labor and developing pellagra from a 95% cornmeal diet before catching a bullet in the Civil War and dying alone and unremembered.

My favorite metaphor for this is a farmer's plow and an ox, if the ox is properly yoked and the farmer doesn't micromanage all the ox's movements, the field will get plowed efficiently and quickly. If the bull isnt fixed into place and controlled, it will break free and shit all over everything (look at the trusts and corpos of the early 20th to see this in full effect). Cooperation is paramount...but ironically the issue today being that there's too much cooperation between corpos and govt...entierly aimed at fucking the average citizen 6 ways to sunday

Totes normal for American Presidents to accept gaudy gold statues of themselves like they're a Roman emperor
I feel like the world's gone crazy and I'm genuinely scared of this nutjob now. Like I said, I think the Butler assassination attempt fueled all of his worst tendencies and I agree with Fuentes' assessment that the RNC basically made peace with him at the price (not that Trump would care, he was always in this to play demagogue) of becoming a neoconservative.

It's hilarious to see what some of these protestants do in their churches now days. (they're the same right now as they were in bushes time afaik), meanwhile they will cite bullshit at me from the protestant reformation. Yeah, that's great, we had some shitty corrupt popes back then. But look what you turned Christianity into. The Anglicans are at least a bit better, I feel like it's the churches that just completely disregarded any kind of hierarchy, then just decided they can reinterpret the bible however they want that led to shit like this, and christian zionism as a whole. along with all the disgusting grifters scamming their followers out of money. I don't know how the grifters can sleep at night. They seriously must not believe in God, because scamming people (mostly old people, but not all) in the name of God is truly abhorent. For their sake they better hope there isn't a God.

Well, if it was in a dream, it's definitely truth, if Candace is anything to go by.
At this point I kind of believe Candice Owen's dreams more than Ian Carrol's "vibes". I had only seen him once or twice when he was a guest on someone else channel. I happened to watch one or two of his actual videos. This guy literally just bases shit off of "this guys vibe". It's insane anyone is taking some guy seriously that's making 30 minute videos talking about the vibes he feels about something.

I feel a strong disconnect from the general American public at this point. This is idolatry and I don’t know how people can’t see it. This and him being dressed as Our Lord in an AI image in an act of outright blasphemy just being completely glossed over by so many people is freaky.
For their sake they better hope there isn't a God.
There is truly no soul more in danger than that of a false Shepard. It’s the very definition of taking The Lord’s name in vain. I sure hope they realize the gravity of what they’re doing before it’s too late.

“Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf,” he said. “This statue is a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the will power to keep fighting for the future of America.” - "Pastor" Mark Burns

If you've gotta tell everyone the gold statue you just erected isn't a golden calf it's probably a golden calf.

I'm beginning to think evangelicals are even worse and more guilty than the kikes they worship and perform all of these theatrics for.

What a pastor. He’s gonna erect a huge gold statue of trump but he’d likely celebrate the IDF soldier smashing the statue of Jesus Christ because it’s “idolatry”.

Yes Slavery was the main issue, but let's not pretend that other factors weren't involved. Economic struggles, moral panics, foreign interference, the same works that go into any war. If the belief is that White people hate Niggers so much that they died to...keep them around (?) then the decades following the war are gonna be a real shock to you.
Really one of the greatest ironies in American politics is the types of people you're talking about largely love the south while Lincoln wanted to deport all black people to Liberia or Panama. Lincoln was dead-set on this so much so to the point where he was speaking favorably of mass deporting all black people a few months before his death even after abolition was passed, also during the war he was planning it down to the point of reaching out to border states about this and talking about $100 per slave being deported if the state's populace was also okay with it.

It's been pretty funny watching people who called catholics idolators suddenly realize the difference between worship and veneration.
And they're all, "Why do you have a problem with it you all have statues?" Bitch you've been yelling at us about our statues for longer than America has exsisted!

Like if followers of the Whore of Babylon (legit what some evangelicals call catholicism) are telling you that's too far maybe you should listen.

Totes normal for American Presidents to accept gaudy gold statues of themselves like they're a Roman emperor
As far as I remember, most Roman emperors kept depictions of themselves relatively tame and under control, sure coins had their faces on them, marble and bronze statues would be added to city centres and busts of the emperor would be made to accompany the Legionary eagle standards but, for the most part, it wasn't all that extravagant, it was meant to reinforce their image and absolute rule over the empire, the exceptions for that would be emperors that were less than ideal, like Elegabalus, Commodus and, of course, Nero.

Nero had a bronze statue of himself depicted as the sun god on the style of the colossus of Rhodes, it was around 30-35 meters in height and stood next to the place where the future colosseum would be built, the statue was so gaudy and Nero became so controversial that almost as soon as the dude killed himself the succeeding emperors began making lots of changes to the statue in order to separate it from Nero, it was turned into a proper statue of Sol, the sun god.

The only people who build a golden statue out of a nigga in power are either Indians, weirdo wannabe cultists and obscure third world dictators.

As a Catholic, I was taught we have statues of saints to commemorate their work for/devotion to the Church and the 'battle' for souls, just like war hero statues commemorate what soldiers have done for the country and the 'battle' for right & wrong.
People were once illiterate and stained glass/statues/monuments taught them important stories.

That explanation always worked for me.

Not sure what this statue is doing, because nothing to celebrate, nothing to commemorate.
For one thing, Trump still alive and those other ppl were all dead.

THAT is what makes it idolatry.
