I guess it depends who you are, and what your stance is. On whether you view what he says as the correct thing. He still is willing to defend some of Trumps actions with Iran, rather than what i would consider the right thing. The only thing he's saying that people want to hear is being willing to actually say Israel has any role in our involvement in the middle east, from a critical point of view (its fine with the jews and neocons if you say it, but you support it funnily enough). For someone like myself that's not really something I would agree with. I think almost everything we have done in the middle east has hurt us more than it's helped, and Trump has made some of the biggest, obvious fuck ups I've seen in my life even before this war started. My point being, he's only saying the exact right thing to a specific group of people.
As far as watching out for him. I think if anything Fuentes is probably pretty close, if Kent does have ulterior motives. His theory is essentially he is trying to save face, and help give an out to JD Vance, and from everything I've seen it seems like the most reasonable guess for why he would have potentially resigned outside of what he said in his letter, and on the shows. I think he might not be completely full of shit though. I think even if he did quit for that reason, it doesn't mean he's necessarily lying about everything, I just think you can't really trust his motives for why he's choosing to say certain things.
