I respect your opinion, but I disagree, and I believe this mentality continues the normalization of corruption. I've had conversations with people in my life who've said something to the effect of "it doesn't matter who I vote for, both sides are corrupt anyway." That thinking removes the need to critically examine who is running for office, what their promises and actions are, and what their results show. If it doesn't matter who anyone picks (because everyone is corrupt), then the truly corrupt are on the same level as the barely corrupt. And yes, there is a difference between Trump's hundreds of millions of dollars in bribes and a Congressman's multi-million dollars in insider trading. Should both be punished? Obviously. Are they both the same? No, and they shouldn't be treated the same because they aren't the same. A murderer shouldn't receive the same punishment a shoplifter receives.

Do many politicians lie? Sure. Do many politicians pretend to care about the average American in order to get elected? Sure. Do many sacrifice or abandon the average citizen in favor of the rich and wealthy? Again, sure. But do all act like that? No, and the ones that don't should be acknowledged and their actions cheered on. Both sides and all politicians aren't the same, contrary to what many say, and that is evident in the promises, actions, and results each side and each politician has.

Now, after seeing how people have handled this, any delusion that people on the right are much better is smashed for me. It's just as full of culture warrior faggots

MAGA wants to crush any dissenting opinions, views, and beliefs. They don't care about freedom of speech. They don't care about anything that isn't for them.
