Hating fathers is more acceptable due to misandry being seen as empowering. Both tend to treat their mothers like nonentities.
Pretty much this.
Misandry is in vogue right now among SJW's, and I get the feeling that when the Late Zoomers and the Alpha Generation start becoming young adults and angry rebellious teens, they're going to go in the opposite direction and go "Fuck You, Mom!"
The Millennials and the Early Zoomers are the most insufferably woke generations overall, and the Core Zoomers seem to be extremely polarized and split between "woke" and "based" as they are kind of caught in the middle of the culture war and unlike the Millennials and Early Zoomer SJW's, they don't really have the memories of the Bush Era or the last culture war involving the Religious Right, which more or less led to the rise of the Woke Left.
But at the same time, I get the feeling that they can still drift more towards Gen X-style political apathy or moderate/centrist views depending on how the rest of 2020 plays out.
The Core Zoomers kinda were heading in that direction before COVID-19 and the BLM coup started really kicking off this month
But the Late Zoomers and Alpha Generation are going to view the Woke Left and their moms the same way the Millennials and Early Zoomers view the Religious Right and their dads.
Expect a lot of conflating the two together and right-wing cringe if the Woke Left dies out and a new movement replaces the SJW's as the moral authority.
Honestly, if Trump wins 2020 and the corporate neoliberals end up humiliated after endorsing BLM, I could see a lot of the astroturfing tactics that propped up the Woke Left to start working against them, and that's when you see the real right-wing counterculture start to form.
Gavin McInnes may be a braying jackass, but he has a point in conservative/right-wing views are now counter-cultural and taboo since leftism is now the new moral authority. But I think he was way too early in his predictions.
In the event of a larger right-leaning counterculture, guys like McInnes, the Proud Boys, the early "Alt-Right", and such are going to be viewed as a fringe forerunner to them in the same way that the Beatniks of the 1950's are viewed when discussing the more influential hippies of the 1960's and 1970's.
Nobody really cares about the Beatniks and are mainly remembered as an early sign of what was to come with the hippies a decade later.
As for TDS, I honestly think that this month's events are the culmination of TDS. It's finally hit its peak and now the question is whether or not it can get Trump out of office or if it will backfire on the DNC and the Woke Left.
