Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Guess what? That's not his duty. Militarized police is a state, county and city issue, not a federal issue.

Of course not. Are you expecting ideological consistency from someone on the KiwiFarms?

Wait, no. I'm using too many words. I think I'm just supposed to tell you to fuck off, faggot.
Well where else are you going to debate edgy political crap, Reddit, dlive?

The guy stumbles back like 10 ft before toppling over. That's not "shoving to the ground" in any reasonable definition.

And he does that because he was trying to make it dramatic. The dude's a longtime anti-cop activist, he probably went out there to deliberately pick a fight. Now whether he overestimated and hurt himself worse than he thought he would when he took a dive, maybe, but a twenty says he did everything he could to make them shove him and then exaggerated the effects.

ersonally, I just think he was waving at the cops and trying to argue that the guns were unnecessary
It doesn't look that way. That was purposeful roving, not gesturing. His attention was on his roving hand, not on confronting the police. Maybe he was trying to record video of their name tags? Though it seems he was aiming poorly for that, too low. The reflections on the device in his hand make it look like a cell phone, so probably taking video of whatever for some reason?

This doesn't look like appropriate force to me.
The guy does look slight, lanky, and tall. His center of gravity could be somewhat high, making him easy to topple. Also his age could make him less resilient. While the guy is probably a shitbag, that fall could be organic.

The OANN video I linked shows how a cellphone can be used as a wand to record police radio frequencies, and discusses how antifa trains people to use that tactic to listen in on their signals.

On the contrary, they should raise the voting age to at least 25 with an exception for anyone in the armed services. Clearly our society has held off adulthood longer and longer as we coddle our youth. Most 20 year old people have no fucking clue what they're doing at the ballot box and should not be making any decisions for our nation, states, or localities. Let alone an 18 year old.

Unless they've signed up and are willing to die for the rest of us. Then you can vote.

A much better solution is to remove the 19th Amendment.

Men gain the right to vote at the end of their civil service or military service. Women get the right to vote after they’re married and have their third kid.
Now everyone who can vote has put in the actual effort to demonstrate commitment to continuing society.

edit to avoid double posting:
This is mostly a meme but do you think there’s an actual basis for a “legally forever a child” class of people? One where you can never vote or hold office and have a legal guardian of some kind but where you can have a largely responsibility free life? Not just for the stunted woke-tards but like maybe it would be useful for people who have sever disabilities by taking them out of any legal grey area?

Why would he need to bring his cell phone so close to the radios, though?

Moderate shove and the walk back must've fucked with his balance. It looks within force limits for me.

And I have pretty much no pity because of the following logic: They're in fucking riot gear and armed, what the fuck makes you think that going up to them like that is a good idea?! Ah, he's a shitstirrer I've read... fuck him.

Is reform to the police force needed? I'd say yes to a degree; I think having the police get more training on community work and softer ways of dealing with confrontation would be nice, you do catch more flies with honey and all that. But abolish them and treat them like shit? Fuck off.

To get a clear signal. That's why he waved it over both radios, to make sure the impression he was getting was of the radio and not something else.
How does that justify what happened?

Incidentally, the next person to condescend to me saying I don't understand the niceties of police procedure should state their credentials. Are you POST-qualified, and if so, in what state? Otherwise, try a more courteous tone.

How does that justify what happened?
Oh, come on. If he hadn't tripped and fallen on his head you wouldn't have batted an eyelash at how much force they pushed him with. There's no justification because it doesn't need to be justified. Old man got shoved, lost his balance, hit his head.

Actually, shouldn't this all be in the riots thread anyway?

They just pushed him lightly and he tripped. What should have happened in your opinion?
I don't think going straight to a shove was great. Also, you're dissembling about the context. The cops were advancing aggressively and that push didn't look light to me.

Your tone needs to go down several decibels. You're lucky this isn't a protest and I'm not a cop.

An old man falling and hitting his head is a reasonably anticipable consequence of shoving him hard.

Of course they were "advancing aggressively." They were there to control a riot and this guy decided it was a great time to run into the line of them and wand their radios. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Why do you keep concern trolling about this when you obviously move the goalposts every time someone tries to give you a real answer?

Yeah, no. Fuck off to the riot thread and stop baiting this thread.

Dang. @Hollywood Hulk Hogan insists I'm a "Trumper". You guys try to read my mind in the opposite direction.

You're the ones trying to impose a particular interpretation on that video. You don't get to decide that disagreement is off topic. If you don't want to engage me, fine, but cut the shit.

What would have been wrong with a controlled takedown?

Why do you keep concern trolling about this when you obviously move the goalposts every time someone tries to give you a real answer?
I haven't moved a goalpost that I know of. I suspect that if you had one in mind, you'd have named it. I think you're bluffing, but unlike you, I'm willing to be proven wrong.

You got a lot of engagement and a lot of very rational, civil responses on appropriate force just a page ago. Doubling down on your feelings and getting butthurt about disagreement, then disingenuously condescending to people about it, is why people are telling you to chill out.

I saw a lot of condescending, low-information replies that didn't address my actual statements. I'm not being disingenuous; I disagree. Stop trying to read my mind. You're not equipped. Address my actual points or disengage.

Getting back to Trump, cue more outrage and crying...

Trump: No change at bases named for Confederate officers
https://apnews.com/859307e1fa0cccf8080fc87550c5b01c (https://archive.vn/d1odD)

“These Monumental and very Powerful Bases have become part of a Great American Heritage, a history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom,” Trump wrote. “The United States of America trained and deployed our HEROES on these Hallowed Grounds, and won two World Wars. Therefore, my Administration will not even consider the renaming of these Magnificent and Fabled Military Installations.”
