Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

My local newspaper has gone from covering local happenings around the county to nonstop "REEEEESIST DRUMPF!" to the point where half their official Facebook and website is just links to anti-Trump articles from CNN. The opinion section is now just one guy writing about how Trump and Republicans are the devil. Used to be the only non-local news they printed were sports scores and major national headlines.

I understand it's a tiny town and not much happens, but people aren't going to keep paying for Trump bashing when they hear it for free on TV, radio, and pretty much everywhere else.
That's another thing that infuriates me about modern news media.

They're all in such a hurry to be the one who finally finishes Trump, that apparently the entire country, no, the WORLD, has vanished.

Want to know how the West Coast is doing in terms of fires? LOL Fuck you, Trump has ice cream at lunch, that's a Russian plot!

Is there a fucking serial killer in your town? No, you don't want to know that, you want to know that Merkel shit her depends over America not being her bitch.

Is your entire township taken over by lizard people from Mars who are killing people in the streets with ray guns and we now have proof of life beyond Earth? FUCK YOU! READ ABOUT THIS MADE UP SHIT ABOUT TRUMP!

Fuck the media, fuck journalists, fuck the 24 hour news cycle.

Get back in your caves, you drooling troglodytes.

TBF We've known about the jews for a while, and reporting on what they're doing to the palestinian arabs is anti-semitic.

Get ready for the shitstorm, lads. I feel one brewing.

For Christ's sake, can we not make basketball political too? I don't give a shit who fired the first shot, but the last thing I want to see when I'm going through an NBA news feed is multiple stories about Donald Trump like I did with the NFL last season. Some people want to unwind, relax, and not think about politics when they watch a game. They don't want to get dragged back into the shit show. All the pussies on both sides need to get some thicker skin and not be distracted what the other is saying.

That gun looks like it was made in a 3-D printer.

With a badly-corrupted template file.... that's pretty bad even by Left Can't Meme standards.

For Christ's sake, can we not make basketball political too?

It already is.

Remember when players in the late 90's had thier own take a knee movment and refused to stand for the Anthem of a "racist country?"

Or Spreewell choking his coach for daring to criticize his lack of hustle, and everyone said if you thought Spree was in the wrong, you were a racist siding with the "slave driver", why else would you approve of a white man giving a black man orders?

Or people trying to defend Gilbert Arenas bringing a gun into the locker room as part of his culture that we as whitey couldn't criticize?

Or Donald Sterling losing ownership of the Clippers franchise for making racist comments in private that got recorded?

I'm sorry, but how is this an example of how Leftist politics are infecting the sports world? Are you implying that Democrats were in support of carrying firearms during the 2000's when Gilbert Arenas played or is it the race thing? Idk, a dude carrying around a gun for his own protection seems like the kind of thing Republicans would be fine with. Were right wing people actually angry about this?

Plus I think LeBron faked out a guy wearing a MAGA hat with a game towel. He acted like he was gonna throw it to him, but then took it back and tossed it over and to someone else. Grinning all the while.

People who criticized him for being stupid enough to bring a firearm to work, against company policy and all common sense when your "work" is a crowded sports arena were jumped on by the usual lefty-apologists and their tyranny of low expectations saying that it was racist to hold him to whitey-standards like thinking things through and following work regulations and the suspension/fine/whatever he got for doing it was proof the NBA wuz waciss!

Ah, the Other 98. Leave it to these dipshits to try making it look like Don Lemon just owned Trump or something.

Might have worked, had he ever put kids in cages.

It's not so much that they're so desperate to try to burn him on twitter, but that they don't even try to find or poke at legitimate stuff he's tweeted or done. They just jump right to kids in cages and peepee tapes.

It's like when my former high school teacher told me that the Islamic practice of female genital mutilation was only wrong in my own opinion, since it's their culture, and they seem fine with it, otherwise they would change it themselves.

The Other 98 have been on my radar for a while now. I’m sure they’re Soros funded, but what makes them unique is that they are leftists that can actually meme. It’s true.

It's like when my former high school teacher told me that the Islamic practice of female genital mutilation was only wrong in my own opinion, since it's their culture, and they seem fine with it, otherwise they would change it themselves.
Yeah I had a teacher at college like that. Of course all the young students swallowed that tripe gladly.

Man, even my hardcore Obamadrone history teacher said he was disgusted with that practice.

Well, she was generally a cultural relativist, and believed that anything not explicitly in the domain of science was only subjective opinion.

I can also quote her as saying that we can't say that someone's feelings are wrong, because you can't tell someone that they don't feel a certain way.

Also, she believed that if you line up every Muslim in the world, the number of radicals, extremists, and zealots would make up a small minority, because 1.8 billion people can't all be violent (a.k.a. the eternally irritating #NotAllMuslims screed). Because of this idea, she also believes that Muslims are generally opposed to Islamic terrorism, despite having zero evidence to that effect.

Following that up was her belief that Islam itself wasn't a threat to Western civilization, but the violent zealots claiming to represent all Muslims are, because:

1. Every sacred text, even the Bible, has violent verses in them. Or verses that advocate for violence. So why single Islam out?

2. Almost any given verse in any sacred text can be interpreted to mean virtually anything. So the verses explicitly telling Muslims to kill pagans could just as easily mean killing the spirit of the pagans.

3. The atrocities described as being performed by Muhammad and Muslims in the Hadith, as well as Muhammad's statements of how to interpret his religion, can be ignored because the recordings and descriptions themselves are just interpretations.

4. Nobody follows every single one the commandments, precepts, and edicts in the sacred texts any given religion anyway. Why should Islam and Muslims be any different?

And according to her, it is untrue that virtually all terrorists are Muslim, because:

1. The Ku Klux Klan existed, and were Christian.

2. There was this guy or group who bombed an abortion clinic.

Keep in mind that she personally doesn't agree with Islam, despite her daughter being a Muslim (which she allows because her daughter is an adult plus freedom of religion, etcetera...). She also uses her daughter as an example that not all Muslims are violent or terrorists.

Despite all this, she generally supports Trump, and disagrees against most leftist talking points.

Well, in a certain context they aren't wrong. Moral standards are not something you can generally inflict upon others and, if you try, it will likely blow up in your face. The whole concept of "bringing freedom" to 3rd world countries and so forth.

In reality those people need to fight for their own rights and morals. If they can't overcome their own self-imposed oppression, social fuckups and so forth all on their own... it's never going to happen.

Moral standing is, more often than not, achieved through brutal conflict, blood, sweat, tears and emotional upheaval. Just look at our own Civil War to end slavery, the bloodiest war in our history was the one we fought against OURSELVES.

You can't give people freedom, it's something they have to earn on their own, their own people, their own culture, their own country... they gotta do it themselves, for themselves.

She's also right that if her daughter is an adult, it's not up to her to "let" her pick and choose her religion. And while she's right about the KKK being Christians, that has jackall to do with whether or not Muslim terrorists exist. (Yes they do, and but not all Muslims are terrorists. You find terrorists of all stripes, although that's not really on topic for this thread. Your professor, however, does sound like a fucking nut)

ANYHOO:
Don Lemon -- the same guy who claimed one of Cosby's victims should have just bit him, so she was responsible for her own abuse? Even though he himself was a victim of abuse as a child, and never did that? That Don Lemon? Jesus.

The press:
I suppose you're right then. (Although my local paper has done the opposite. Going from generally liberal to fawning all over Trump to the point of firing a long time and popular editorial cartoonist for making slightly negative cartoons about the guy. And he's done equally critical ones of past presidents as well.) I just don't think it's necessarily a "liberal vs. conservative" thing, as everyone seems to believe. (Look at how Reagan was treated by the press, for example)
I think some of it has to do with the fact that he's so thin-skinned, and freaks out over the slightest criticism. I imagine some of them of them might just enjoy poking the guy with a stick? Dude, it's part of being the president, get over it.

People are lazy, and taking a moral position contrary to the person who can make your life difficult over it? That's, like, hard.

Now, how hard is it REALLY to understand, a surgical procedure performed against the patient's will for no medically beneficial purpose is a HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION?

Seems pretty easy to me.

ironically, the same teacher probably holds the idea of HER consent to even being flirted with in high regard.
