Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I guess Johnny is tired of being the masturbation fodder for Tim Burton given that outside of him and Pirate shit he's typecast to hell.

Reenacting another Johnny is not smart tho; since feds do take shit like that seriously.

Johnny Depp wants to go John Wilkes Boothe on Trump

Actor Johnny Depp appeared to threaten US President Donald Trump during a speech at the Glastonbury Festival.

"Can you bring Trump here?" he asked the audience, as he introduced a screening of his film The Libertine.

After receiving jeers from the crowd, he added: "You misunderstand completely. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?"

"I want to clarify," he added, "I'm not an actor. I lie for a living [but] it's been a while. Maybe it's about time."

Reminds me when The Dixie Chicks shit-talked Bush a bit after 9/11.

Even though a sequel has been planned for 2019?

I do agree though, The Incredibles should have got a sequel much sooner than fucking Cars and Finding Nemo.
If I wasn't properly paranoid regarding the internet in general and this site in particular, I'd bet you cash money that they absolutely shit all over it and go out of their way to ruin everything that was good about the original and could be good about the sequel.

And besides. 2019. 20fucking19. They rebooted the Batman franchise quicker than that. Spiderman too. Thats fifteen fucking years. Children only old enough to run around, speak in full sentences, and use a toilet when that movie was in theaters probably voted in this election. I think only Joe Dirt holds a candle for a movie that people desperately begged for a sequel for years. And the Joe Dirt sequel was sorry dogshit.

Who wants to bet on a Trumpy villain?

The Incredibles only made $20 million more than cars did at the box office and that's before you take into account how much cars merch can go for.

Remember, Disney and the other big studios don't give a fuck about the quality of the film, I think we can all agree that the Incredibles is the superior film to Cars. They only care about how much money can be made and how much merchandise can be sold and the reality is that products with cartoon cars or cartoon fish on are way easier to sell than products with cartoon people purely because people don't give a shit about a cartoon person if they don't know who the character is but a car or a fish are pretty universal even if you've never seen the film the character is in.

Also putting a superhero on a product puts those products in competition with stuff with Marvel or DC characters on and when it comes to global recognition Spiderman or Batman trump Mr Incredible any day of the week, even during the time immediately after the incredibles was released.
With the way Marvel went, they could have made their own super hero stable, made illustrated novels, and eventually out competed and dominated Marvel in their own frontyard.

That's a big ass leap in logic there.

Is Depp retarted? I hope he does know that that president who was shot by an actor was Lincoln, you know the guy who freed the slaves...... Surprised he isn't being assblasted by anyone with half a brain (regardless of political affiliation) right now.

Because Johnny is free of criticism among his Hollywood buddies just as long as he hops on the Stop Trump Train like all the cool hip and trendy kids.

I know this retort is mostly used by a bunch of re-tarded teenage girls, but I feel like a big reason we see these celebrities shit on Trump is because they're jealous. Not necessarily of his wealth--a lot of them pull this kind of stunt when they have big, fancy mansions to go home to--but because he's probably the most extreme example of a celebrity regaining relevance in modern times.

Before his presidential campaign he was just like them. If you've been familiar with him since the '90s, you might have known him best for almost going bankrupt during that period. If you've been familiar with him since the '00s, you might have known him best as a reality TV star who regularly hurled insults at Rosie O'Donnell. His name was more frequently seen alongside names such as Bill Gates and Paris Hilton, other stupidly rich famous people.

Donald Trump achieved what seemed to be the impossible: go from a bit of a washed-up guy to the most relevant person on the planet. And what better way to do that than to become President of the United States of America? These other celebrities--such as Moby, Meryl Streep, Kathy Griffin, and now Johnny Depp--know that complaining about the president is bound to put them back in the spotlight, and as we've seen, they're not wrong about that.

I think the problem is that they're only thinking about how much relevance they'll regain in the short run. It's strange to me that none of them have tried to make lemonade out of lemons, you know, to seize the opportunity when they're given the chance. After Kathy Griffin did her thing, she cried about how much of a meanie Trump was to her, a stark contrast to the edgy photo shoot she did that garnered a bit of controversy, and then fucked back off into obscurity. She could have capitalized on the "joke" she made by announcing an HBO special or by upping the ante with even edgier stunts, but she didn't even bother. Same with Meryl Streep--she didn't do anything after the spotlight was on her. And all Moby does nowadays is bitch on Twitter about those pesky Republicans. He could have sold out big time by releasing an EDM single that the collective masses would eat up, but nope. That's never going to happen.

So now Depp is following in their footsteps. He made some comments about Trump that were sure to rustle some jimmies. What's he going to do now? Announce a film he's working on? Follow up with even more provocative statements? Just sit there and do nothing? I guess we'll have to stay tuned.

You and I basically said the same thing. +1
