If he got 10% of the Black vote it would be time to start sweating. Anything above 15% is insane and the further "North" you head from that number the more these activists lose their minds because if someone manages to "break" the black vote so it's not virtually 100% in favor of the Democratic party, the DNC effectively ceases to exist. The entire party cannot survive on a national level if they don't keep the black vote on lockdown, that's why they slam the issues that they do as hard as they do.
They don't just enjoy the benefits of a nearly-unanimous black voting bloc, they rely on it to survive the same way that they rely on the electoral votes from California to win elections.

What do you think the odds are of a desperate switch to pushing Booker as the frontrunning candidate, in order to guarantee an Obama-esque surge at the polls? Or would they be too afraid of him getting outed, considering the black community's tendency towards homophobia?

His almost certain homosexuality(why is this an issue to the DNC with Booker but not Buttboygig) aside I think Booker would be disemboweled if he was the actual candidate against Trump.

Then there's the fact that Cory never finishes things and his ideas are often bad. He did things in Newark then couldn't pay for them so there were budget cuts that fucked over city workers. Instead of actually improving that situation he told the voters to go fuck themselves and jumped to the senate where he has done next to nothing that didn't serve his next fuck you to the voters which is campaigning for president instead of being a senator.
Literally the only reason Booker has gotten anywhere is his skin color(lol can we get a 23 and me on that %) and the stupidity of New Jersey voters who will keep a piece of shit like Bob Menendez in office(even after the DNC asked him to step the fuck down because he is such a tremendous scumbag).
Side note: All of these currently sitting politicians who are running for president should be docked pay. You shouldn't be able to run for president and keep your current position.

Obama didn't win because he was black, he won because McCain and Mom Jeans (I always forget his name) were both awful candidates who smelled like George Bush 2.0, though the irony of it was that Obama wound up just being Black George Bush. The black vote itself isn't nearly enough to bring a surge onto the national stage though, there were a dozen other things in play that helped Obama win his election.
If the black vote itself was all it took to rocket a candidate into the national spotlight and win the election, Herman Cain would have gotten significantly further than he actually did because Herman Cain is actually black, but he vies for the "wrong party", so he got slammed into the floor and mercilessly mocked by the MSM every time he popped his head up in politics because he has a fucking personality.
