megatron getting a third dragon mode is suprising, where does that come from?

It's from the concept art for the movie. He was apparently planned to have a third dragon mode but it got cut.

The alicon being just a reissue with slightly deeper green that doesn't paint the area between the toes gray like the character model it's based on is really really lame for a 30-ish dollar pricetag

OG releases colors were more accurate too, only glaring issues being the lack of paint and the gray being slightly too dark.


I'm fine with the slightly darker gray though since it breaks up the color really nicely.

only real oddity is they reinterpreted the froglike mouth as a faceplate, something the reissue doesn't seem to fix. It's kind of like the opposite form of the kind of thing that happens with some respirator mouth characters like liege maximo and armada thrust where the sculptor of the figure interprets that as their chin.

btw if you've ever heard anyone say this universal greeting shit the quote is specifically from this movie. This is the origin point of it and it's one of the most mildly strange things I've seen pop up on occasion in media.

What's weird is they're kinda the same race as the egg alien dudes with he faces that rotate depending on how they feel about shit but also kinda framed as a different thing than them because there's alicons and then there's the SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT looking "bailiffs" which are quintessons (the egg fucks). and aren't implied to be able to transform at all like the alicons can




This however did not stop them from retooling the alicon into the bailiff. AZs I said earlier I think the reason the alicon figure's transformation is so inaccurate is because they had the bailiff retool in mind while making it. So the bailiff now has an alicon alt mode.

Yes my point though is like the quintesson bailiffs are supposed to be quintessons and not the same thing as alicons but they basically share the exact same bodytype to the point the official bailiff figure is literally a retooled alicon and can transform as a result, something they're never shown or implied to be able to do.
