Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

Forgot to bring this up last post but I found another non-scalped listing for the 4th party 86 style sharkticons. Hoping I don't get screwed over a 3rd time lmao. We'll find out if history repeats or not in about a month or so. Import fees made my broke ass have to use a pay in 4 using the money refunded from the last one that had a similar kinda price due to import fees. So basically imagine a weird loop of being a broke ass dude paying for something and it getting delayed until it's abruptly cancelled and then finding another thing that's the same thing a month later by someone else.

It's still worth it because it's somehow still infinitely cheaper than buying three of the normal ones for the current MSRP of deluxes +shipping. Deluxes scaled up to around voyager height so the alt mode is the right height next to deluxes and I can pose it like hot rod is punching them in the face though I'm not crazy/financially stable enough to get one specifically to mod into a broken tooth version. Even though I got enough to not worry about the gradual payment I really should look into selling some shit again soon so I can pay the pay in 4 thing off early.

got a 3d printer ans started making upgrades to my existing collection.

and a pirate hat for tidal wave.

Kinda wonder if it'd be possible to do one of those but smaller for the third party figure that's basically a downscaled version of it I got.

I guess I missed a figure release somehow what the fuck
I actually saw him thrown in a corner at a walmart a day or two ago I forgot to bring this shit up lmao. Still too pricey for me though given how small the figure is but he's really out there!

EDIT: also I forgot to mention today while making sure I had enough for some shit I got to watch the armada nemesis restock go to low stock and then sold out within a few hours. Surprised it lasted a week with how people selling him are all like europe and china sellers that want 200+ USD for him with some slight exceptions that are still over MSRP by a bit. I'm still pissed how they raised the price on armada nemesis last second from 60 to 90.

Also the sharkticons still havent shipped and I'm hoping it doesn't end up a third case of this bullshit.

EDITX2: Was about to do a checkout for a pay in 4 on a nemesis prime I found for pretty much msrp from some hobby shop's ebay page I found and got sniped on both that and another listing I saw like that and it really is fucking aggravating because the second one had multiple copies, There was one left of another seller that was like 10 dollars more and since I'm aiming to do more selling than buying soon I figured I'd do it because I can still pay that shit off earlier via selling unrelated shit legitimately fuck the people snagging up all stock to relist it at 200-400. depriving them of one more new in box one to squat on for the next 3 decades is something I know will piss the scalpers off given how they react to people getting pokemon cards before they can clear out the whole stock lmao. I still have no clue how the fuck these people have seemingly endless pockets to do this shit. Cheaper ones may show up again but like yeah I've made my peace with the fact this shit is never gonna go on discount and my one solace is I didn't give scalpers or hasbro money but just some random joe shmoe selling shit.

I got this in the mail today. Worth every penny and the wait. It's absolutely massive in person, and everything is all chunky and ratchety and makes me wish they put this much effort into titans.
I'm still angry about tidal wave!

Seriously though my preorder on it getting delayed then cancelled due to some BS out of my control was somewhat of a blessing in disguise kinda given how TCW-12 literally does everything the titan does but shrunk down and much cheaper without miscolored foot boosters for megatron. Some stuff on the figure's a bit looser than I'd like on certain pegs but loose is better than tight here IMO. Fine with pegs being easy to pop out instead of easy to break. Some copies are apparently scary tight or scary loose all over but mine seems fine for the most part.

I should probably open tsunami at some point, been trying to figure out where to put the thing after opening it so it's stayed in the box since I got it around late december or january-ish?

Either way I really like the headsculpt on it as weird as the legs look from certain angles.

He's large, has (almost) all the features of the original thing he's a third party remake of, and can even transform without partsforming. I went over this all before but like this thing shows hasbro could have easily fit the figure not needing to partsform into the titan. it's raw laziness, especially when Tidal wave was more expensive than most titans.

EDIT TO ACOID DOUBLE POST: So I forgot to bring this up earlier when I found it out because I didn't think it was anything super important. The new 86 seekers bizzarely share some tooling with the yolopark snap together kits in the head but shrunken down, to the point the faces are just pegged on rather than glued in.

ENTER CHINAMAN HOBBYISTS

This shit actually makes me want these figures now. There's also apparently a KO company making a version of the 86 seeker with some structural improvements too but I don't know if that'll work with these. Would be a lot less expensive to gradually build em up if so.
