Never in a thousand years would I have thought robot m-preg would be canon in the Transformers universe...

At least in fanart (or what little I've seen anyway,) the m-preg ass-babies were robots and not human beings...

...Every day we stray further from God's light.

Also kinda happy that I dropped the comics some time back when my local comic shop went belly up. Autobot Megatron actually made sense at least...but this? Ugh, this is just wrong!

To be honest "organic truck-sized test tube satan baby being carried inside a giant alien robot's storage compartment" Isn't the weirdest comic plotline I've seen.
By the looks of things this is less actual "mpreg" shit and more something akin to how seahorses carry the eggs in a pouch to protect them till they hatch. Then again I haven't read this comic so I could be completely wrong here and the cyberdemon antichrist child thing is indeed a naturally man-grown space-fetus.

Speaking of space fetuses, I just remembered the Japanese g1 Transformers show had a villain in the later seasons that was literally a giant demonic space fetus with godlike abilities. I think he was literally called "devil z" or something and possessed Scorponok's corpse. Maybe this is some sort of twisted reference to that weird thing. It's been years since I saw subbed clips of that show.

EDIT: I found an image of the space-fetus god of death from G1 transformers on an image search. It turns out my memory about this thing's existence was somehow actually correct.

Just asked a friend about this and he replied with some information gleaned from the recent SNAFU that is Hasbro's crumbling Transformers franchise in the fallout from The Last Knight being a big pile of underperforming shit.

Hasbro is planning on "rebooting" the franchise in full to try and force all depicitions of characters to be similar, abandoning the multiple-lines angle where you can have three different versions of Optimus Prime or whatever going on at once. Part of this will be an IDW comic reboot.

To that end, I have to wonder if Roberts just isn't giving a shit about writing anymore and is pushing the envelope to see what he can get away with.

Now I'm curious. What's worse than "organic truck-sized test tube satan baby being carried inside a giant alien robot's storage compartment"? Other than anything OPL comes up with that involves his pony bullshit.

Considering there's that weird happening that went on where multiple small businesses allegedly went under thanks to the recent Marvel comics not selling because absolutely fucking nothing was happening in them I'd have to say "boring and preachy" bad is on a higher level of bad than "gross and weird shit" bad.
What's next? Decepticon Optimus Prime? IIRC, wasn't Megatron an Autobot at some point?
Optimus has been a Decepticon on some occasions in a few iterations of the franchise, though I don't know if this comic has done it.

IDW, alongside hiring that one assclown for GI Joe, seems dead set on being absolutely insane in their treatment of Hasbro's properties. Now, I don't really give a fuck about Hasbro.

But IDW has the rights to The Rocketeer. And that is why I am very, very scared.

Mary Jane dies of cancer because Spiderman's sperm is radioactive.

That, or Mary Jane and Peter decide to magically abort their unborn child and make a deal with the literal fucking devil 'cause a old bitch who was already on her last legs got a cap in her ass.

Transformers were a mistake.
Much as I like to shit on Kevin Smith, I also like to arbitrarily quote him.
"Transformers are a TOTAL slight against God. Inasmuch as God sent his only begotten son to die on the cross to redeem mankind, and all we did to pay him back was make terrible fucking cartoons like the Transformers."

I bet kids can’t wait to buy that action figure!

After looking at the writers Twitter Account everything makes a lot more sense:

@mel_thegreat dijo:
Society has told [men] if they are not centered then it's not for their consumption.
Somehow I doubt society teaches that.

It's more likely that men don't like being portrayed according to the typical tumblrist narrative, and because of that, the typical tumblrist narrative is that men who don't like such portrayals are as @mel_thegreat claims.

totally called it on James Roberts being inspired by (probably very bad) fanfiction.

Honestly, fanfic is only really a pejorative because so much of it is suspension-of-disbelief-erasing mindfuckery (when it's not just outright poorly conceived and atrociously written with spelling and grammar errors aplenty). The fact that so many bad fanfiction writers just happen to be female doesn't erase the fact that 1) there's bad fanfic writers who are male (coughcoughrobertscoughcough), 2) there are some female fanfic authors who are good or even excellent 3) of course his English degree or whatever drenched him in Postmodern IngSocJus so he's conditioned to think this way. You know he's drunk the purple koolaid when he thinks Marxism is the answer to turning Megatron "good"...
