The way these people talk down to everyone is what really gets me. You're giving them way too much credit. They need to be the main characters of some big, powerful, good v. evil story, and therefore any pushback or rejection they experience in their lives must be the work of FASCIST FORCES. That's the premise they start with. Any explanation is just reverse-engineered from that.
So they either make up stories about how fascists are targeting them because fascists are threatened by the blurring of gender roles, even though gender ideology depends on gender stereotypes for its existence and pushes gender nonconformity into strict categories. Or they claim the fascists are after them because they're the most powerless and most easily targeted minority (more powerful than say, prisoners or drifters or illegal immigrants or other types of people actual fascist regimes usually go after first).
The frustrating thing about it is that I don't think it's overly paranoid to see fascism sometime in America's future, But if it does happen no one will pay attention because these people have cried wolf so many times that it's hard to talk about it without looking ridiculous.

Yes, of course, there are lots of laws in this category, but the concept of complete bodily autonomy is certainly a real thing to strive for, in a libertarian sense anyway. The concept of absolute bodily autonomy is as an absolute. The grievance is in the réalisation that the government limits it.
There are places where euthanasia is legal and we already have people chopping off their dicks and tits while trooning out. We also have body modders removing fingers, ears, noses etc. + increased legalisation and toleration of drugs.
It's either just a matter of time, or we annihilate ourselves, or the Moslems come and teach us the way of Allah.

Wherever there is any social funding of medicine - everyone is paying for it. This even applies in US, those trooned out military guys for example. Even if troons go 100% private, who pays for the A&E when they get back from Thailand with a septic black pudding stapled to the left of their belly buttons? Us the tax payers.

Yes, indeed, the majority of people relate more to real life struggles much more than abstract notions of gender identity pushed by a severely mentally ill minority. ambiguously-gendered unkempt 10yo protagonist is calm and collected amongst a variety of interesting and well-written characters some of whom play with irony and meta-commentary, all while the game reassures you to not take it too seriously. So people who get anxiety from phone calls and wearing clothes and going outside really resonate with the weirdos you meet along the way.

I can think of two things:
- The main character's sex is intentionally ambiguous. Wokies then theorised that they are non-binary before insisting on making it canon.
- Same-sex couples that aren't treated as jokes (given the game was released back in 2015, this was more latched onto than troonery) . There's a minor pair that appear in a fight and two major characters get into a relationship by the end of the game (so long as you're not a genocidal maniac).
