Did Sailor Moon have gender non binary's, troons, allegories for interracial love, and gay dudes making out and i'm unaware of that? cause Steven Universe has all of this. I don't know this but I have to press X to doubt. My comment wasn't even regarding just cartoons. Our media is all this way. All of it. I don't think Japans is that way nor their anime BUT to be fair I've watched only 3 anime in my life. Attack on Titan, DBZ, and Pokemon. I'm not an efficiando. But I have seen plenty of clips of old anime and they seemed to make fun of troons. Making them big masculine hairy freaks. I wish we copied that here tbh.
In all seriousness maybe you're right and anime of the 90s was full of racial social justice, troon, or gay shit and i'm unaware. So even if I grant you that and believe I'm just unaware, that doesn't explain everything else in our media. You can't blame Doctor Who or The Acolyte on anime. Perhaps your overall point was just cartoons all copied stories and shit from anime, which I could definitely believe though.
In the end I had cable television until 2021 so I was very late to cut the cord, but as a kid who grew up with a television on 24/7 I know my Western TV well, and good god comparing 2016 to 2006 is another universe. A Steven Universe if you will... wocka wocka
Also I say all of this as I am not even against the idea of gays in media or gay stories in television. I recall I think it was Dragon Age 2 or Inquisition which had a gay characters story you could hear. I didn't find it offensive or obnoxious like I did the shit in Veilguard. It's just now it's nonstop and there's no nuance or light touches. Fucking Nolan's Odyssee has a rapper playing the bard, Lupita Bongos, a bald black woman playing Helen of Troy and Ellen Page playing a man. In Homers epic. It is offensive and retarded. And very much pozzed.

True but that plot was never ever in a million years to promote homosexuality. Vito was a disgusting, greedy man who forsake his family and died with a pool stick up his bumhole. And Oz, again, if you think that was portraying gays in a positive light you've got a darker mind than me lmao. Dudes falling in love with their rapist. Though I gusss since a Soap Opera in the 80s had the most popular character marry her rapist it wasn't too crazy anymore as Oz was a male soap.

Oh my god. When I was tripfagging half a decade ago on 4chan, I discovered how much they loved New Vegas and it depressed me. And Nintendo yeahhh that's why it was so beautiful Nintendo didn't cast the knobby knees Schaefer in the role of Zelda. I did get some chuckles by feigning ignorance to their excitement of the idea of him playing Zelda by pretending I didn't know who they wanted him to play. I'd reply as if I thought they meant Link and say yeah Hunter could play Link well due to the similarities.
