Its like I said in the Yaoi and SJW Arts threads. The term headcanon (and even Fanon) has truly lost all meaning. I remember it used to be a hypothesis on what you believe a character was like based off of small characteristics. Nowadays, its just "I want this character to be just like me, so therefore they're gay or trans to me". Again, I wouldn't care so much about this stuff if these type of headcanons didn't get so astroturfed in fandoms.

yes, they really love declaring characters "neurodivergent" as well. it's just taken as "fact" in stranger things fandom that one of the characters is adhd/autistic now for some reason.
