You know it. You love it. Trailer Park Boys tells the story of Ricky, Julian, Bubbles, and the retarded stunts they get into in Sunnyvale Trailer Park. Discuss.

The older episodes are still the best. They had a grunge feel to it. You could taste that swish man. It was also hilarious how they censored all the logos.
Even though I think the show remained pretty good through season 6 or 7, the first two seasons really had a tone that they they never managed to get back once the show got a little bigger. Everything was just so authentically shitty to the point where you can believe this is how white trailer trash Canucks are.

And they really are that way, if videos from this channel are to be believed:

All the characters were much more toned down and believable too. They all get very flanderized as the show continues on.

I maintain that The Movie is the spiritual end of the show. That was The End. You can still watch after it, there's even some fun moments. But you're never getting this back:
Absolute Cinema. Ricky gets married, smokes dope, goes to jail, it's all there, it's fucking perfect.

I grew up watching Always Sunny. Never watched Trailer Park Boys until last year. I gotta say, I like Always Sunny but I think TPB is a better show by all metrics and I wish I had watched it sooner. When they did the gag with Ricky shooting guns off at the barking dog in the first season I knew immediately that I had missed out on pure kino for years and I'm so glad I'm checked out TPB.

The random acts of extreme violence and nobody dying after getting shot is what makes the show great. One of my favorite parts is the grocery store robbery in season 1 (?)
Black and white cameras. Stealing literal meat. Full auto machine gun fire. Peak.

One of my favorite gags is when they have Cory and Trevor dancing the background in random scenes. Or when they made a bar out of a trailer and Cory and Trevor invited people from a gay bar to come party there. There is a shot outside the trailer used to set the scene but in the background there are 2 or 3 guys dancing in sync just because and that shit is so funny to me. TPB had a great knack for planting funny stuff in the background of scenes and just trusting the audience to either notice and laugh or not notice. They didn't feel the need to make sure everyone noticed every funny thing and I appreciate that.

Shitisms became an actual part of my vocabulary. Mostly it's just shit winds or a shit blizzard when I hear about some bullshit at work coming down from upper management or a friend was having girlfriend drama. I'd also warn friends about shit spiders and getting ensnared in shitwebs. Shitspider is such a great term for whitetrash who try to get you wrapped up in their shitweb of drama. I'm glad I live close enough to the Canadian border that I can get Dressed All Over chips.

Lahey's speech is one of my favorite moments:
