There’s a balloon which fat people can swallow that takes up room in the stomach so people get fuller faster. I think it’s generally recommended for people who have much less weight to lose than AL and it’s only a temporary thing that lasts for about 6 months I believe... but desperate times call for desperate measures. I don’t think the balloon is covered by any insurance but it doesn’t matter because AL doesn’t have insurance anyway. It’s called Orbera if anyone wants to read about it.

ETA: it’s only for people with BMIs of 30-40... too bad AL is more than twice that. Maybe she could find a quack to put one in for her anyway.
