He'd want to have some guarantee of being paid for his services, and a broke-assed troon doesn't sound like a financially stable client. Even if he did take the case pro bono, the client still has to pony up for filings and other shit. And on top of that, the case isn't a winner. What does Thorney hope to gain in the end by suing someone overseas for an insult over the Internet? There's no money in it. There's not even a sense of justice that would arouse the sympathy of a lawyer to work for free. It's too small a slight to be worth the trouble of the legal system.
