Thorne twisted a tweet Boots Riley (director of Sorry to Bother You) made about a general liberal perspective of the Venezuela situation into a personal attack on her. Because she has to be at the center of every situation, topic, or discussion. Notice her very arrogant use of "my man" when talking to a black guy.
For those unfamiliar with petty squabbling on the left, being called a liberal is akin to being called a "cuck". Its only offensive if other people on the left use it, however, as the right uses it as a catch-all for everyone on the left. To the left, a liberal is a centrist who wants to bend over backwards to compromise with everyone BUT the left. The liberal will give concessions to far right fascists before considering supporting even Bernie Sanders or AOC's idea of soft-ball socialism. These are the people who vote to ban plastic straws as a way of tackling climate change, putting the blame on the consumer and essentially putting a bandage on a broken leg. The ones who think Nancy Pelosi is "throwing shade" when she's genuinely applauding something Trump says.
To Thorne, being called a liberal by a comedian and film director is like destroying her entire world to the point where she boycotts his movie (that she already paid to see) just because he doesn't agree with her Peter Coffin inspired idea of socialism. He shuts her down completely by pointing out that he doesn't know who the fuck she is and doesn't care what she thinks of him, and she spent all day shitting up Twitter until she crashed into slumber. Go look at her timeline, she spent all evening tweeting to the void getting less than ten likes per tweet and barely any replies.
