Because Jessica hasn't provided him with an easy out. Until she says something he can construe as problematic enough to base a breakup on he's stuck with her. If he broke up with her now he'd be the clear bad guy in the scenario because the only conclusion an observer could come up with is he left for selfish reasons. It also doesn't follow the narrative he's been pushing for literally years now that he and Jessica are soulmates and nothing will ever tear them apart.

This is so depressingly true, it's sad as you almost feel pity for Jordan trying to escape a relationship that's clearly not healthy or bringing anyone happiness. Then you remember he's only looking for an out so he can be the victim and his scam go unnoticed and uncared about.

Even if he went so far as to doctor screen shots of private messages Jessica would still vehemently deny their legitimacy. Her relationship with Jordan aside, Jessica is non-confrontational and everything she says is gushy "girl talk". There's no precursor to her suddenly turning shitlord and people would be skeptical about that.
The only way that he can successfully pull off a "she's problematic" breakup is if Jessica makes a public post that can be construed as such. That way there's witnesses who can attest to its validity and he can easily paint her as the villain.
The state of the relationship is entirely Jordan's fault. From what we know about Jessica she's clearly got some "issues", especially in regards to maturity. She's vulnerable, and Jordan took advantage of that in the hopes that he could use her. A healthy relationship was the last thing he wanted. The only reason he wants out now is because he's learned that Jessica has almost nothing to her name and that she disgusts him on a physical level.
Never feel pity for Jordan. The only person to feel pity for here is Jessica. She's the one being scammed and emotionally manipulated.
I think the current state of their relationship is the result of two things:
1) Jordan realizes that he can't perpetuate the lie. As I said above, he's physically disgusted by Jessica and she does not have a large income. He's not getting enough out of Jessica to - in his mind - justify sleeping with her. He couldn't even bring himself to do anything more than kiss/hold hands when he visited over Christmas. If she was a millionaire then Jordan would probably swallow his bile and sleep with her. As it is, he can't make that commitment, and now that she's dead set on him moving in within a couple years he has to find an exit or the lie will fall apart in front of everyone.
2) Plain old ego. Jordan believes he deserves good and expensive things without any effort on his part. In Jordan's mind he deserves a hot, rich, cisgender wife who will support him and not ask any questions, and his ego makes it nigh impossible for him to settle for anything less. Being with Jessica has been good PR (trans lesbians, such a progressive relationship) and he could delude himself while their relationship existed only in cyberspace. Reality, however, slapped Jordan in the face, and his ego won't have any of it. It doesn't matter how much Jessica praises him, she's not a beautiful cisgender woman with a big paycheck.

You could tell he was fishing for an out with that Trump question. Surprised he didnt just go for it. IMO that is about as good as Jordan is going to get from Jessica. Shes just so non offensive.
