I enjoy Junji Ito, but it’s nice to find recommendations for other horror authors. Body horror is one thing. But psychological horror is what I find most disturbing. Ive forgotten about some things like Kurosagi corpse delivery service. I should get back into that.

I absolutely love Hideshi Hino’s work, especially his Guinea Pig movies-if I recall right, one of them was adapted from his manga? I believe it was Mermaid in a Manhole but I’m not one hundred percent sure on it.

It's most likely because this is a weeb thread and some farmers really don't like weeb shit to the point where it makes them see red (which I understand because I feel the same way about rabid BTS fans). Getting autistic ratings are par for the course for a thread like this.

I forgot another detail about the manga: The do have a school nurse and on her shelf is that doll. The teacher just went off the deep end into depravity and never consulted her. The girl did.

I can't do nail horror at all so my shit might be super weak sauce and it makes me sick.
So obligatory Higurashi nail scene here (you know the one), the stray cat and Shinobu scene in Diamond is Unbreakable, and I think in Attack on Titan when Levi and Hanji were torturing a guy there was nail stuff involved too.
Another one i'd have to give it to was in prison lab. I think this 1 girl had to use the bathroom, but her captor was like "nope" and beat the shit out of her until she pissed herself..
Finally, I remember this 1 part Violence Jack where all the men rape the women and they're all struggling to flee and shit to get away from them. Go Nagi you son of a bitch but damn do I keep coming back for more of your work.
Edit: there was also the nail thing in Stone Ocean I forgot about. Euuughhh.

If I may ask, what's the context so I can get ready? No photos thought. If anything i'll close my eyes or just fast forward a little since I did have plans on starting Monster eventually.
I can do SOME hand and foot horror as long as it isn't nail stuff but sometimes it might make me nauseous depending on what happens. (hell i'm watching Shigurui due to the thread since it got me curious and I was like "ayo what the FUCK" seein this guy have a huge hole in his foot and this other dude's fingers got fucked up but it wasn't that bad, i'm only on episode 4 and already and enjoying it).

Interrogation of a character involving nail clippers. Then a shootout happens and the interrogated goes on his blinded rampage. It's more of a thriller than horror, but Monster has its disturbing moments.

Tbh, this didn't necessarily disturb me per say, but it caught me off guard.
In Pet Shop of Horrors, there was a part where the girl peaked on her pet bird when she wasn't supposed to and there was like guts everywhere or some shit, or the whole thing with the woman who fed her pet rabbit human food since it looked like her daughter and then all these rabbits started multiplying and started to attack her, her husband, and the neighborhood before dropping dead.

It took me a little while but I actually remember this manga, there was a second story about a guy who took photos of one girl to try and frame her for literally anything which led to her rape and eventual suicide, and the girl from the Meso Meso story was in it. It was really dark, and I couldn’t finish it.

I didn't read that part but saw him with the camera.
Tvtropes (with their usual autism) made a theory that Maria from "Umineko No Naku Koro Ni" attends the elementary school and the raped girl's name was Marie. Basically the theory states Maria "got off lucky from a school full or rapists and murderers and bullies".
