The Worst TV Shows You've Ever Seen

What if Ryan Dunn saw this pilot, hated it, then got so trashed that night that he died in drunken car wreck and THAT is why Bam is wrecked with guilt becoming a train wreck himself?
According to what little is known about Bamimation, the pilot was completed in 2008. Perhaps this could've kickstarted a downward spiral for Dunn.

Only in the early 90s could you also make a cartoon about Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky being secret crime fighters, doin' it for the kids.

I watched what was available of Pro Stars on Youtube. Man, these sport stars didn't deserve to be done so dirty. First off NBC, the network Pro Stars originally aired on, claimed that the players would be voicing their respective characters in the show, which was a big fucking lie. They tried to animate that thing that Michael Jordan does where he sticks out his tongue, but it always ended up looking creepy, Bo Jackson has to be spouting his Nike campaign slogan, "Bo Knows," every five seconds, and Wayne Gretzky has been reduced to a hungry fuck. They also hang out with some annoying Jewish woman who gives them gadgets every episode who for some reason everyone refers to as "Mom," and Denise, another girl who's just... there. The last episode was a clip show, a privilege granted only to the shittiest of shit TV shows.

Pro Stars was animated by DiC Entertainment, a studio notorious for producing tons of terrible celebrity cartoons. They animated Hammerman, a show I've seen refrenced multiple times earlier in this thread, and would later go on to produce all three of the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons prior to Sonic X (AoStH, SatAM, and Sonic Underground.) DiC also had experience with making a terrible Hulk Hogan cartoon roughly six years before the creation of Pro Stars.

It's worth mentioning that Dic also made my personal worst show Wish Kid, as well as the Super Mario World cartoon (and the prior two Mario shows), all three of which aired on NBC on the same year. They also were in charge of the dismal final season of Alvin and the Chipmunks, and later the notorious Sailor Moon dub. Despite being responsible for major nostalgic hits (Inspector Gadget comes to mind), when Dic was bad they managed to define bad.

Sonic Underground (also made by DiC) was 10 times worse than all of those shows combined, imo.

Now now, at least their Super Mario Bros 3 show was AFAIK the very first time I heard the sweet sounding tones of...........well im sure you can figure that out

What was their "brilliant" idea to have Jahlel White voice both Sonic and the sister? Other than to probably save money.
They're Triplets born, and the throne awaits...

But in all seriousness, I think White wanted more money to do the third series and DiC complied.

Not the worst, but the Haunting of Hill House could be the most disappointing. I went in with really high hopes after seeing near universal praise, calling it a masterpiece and utterly terrifying. What I got instead was a family melodrama, which whilst well acted was painfully slow and full of endless monologues. The "scares" largely consisted of someone suddenly having an evil face or a ghost standing in the background. And good god is Shirley unlikable.

Was Shirley the lesbian shrink that could do no wrong? I remember finding that character really grating. Ben the junkie was pretty based though.

This is one probably no one has seen, Mr. Box Office. This show was so bad I wonder if it was used to launder money or something. It looked like it was shot with a 100 dollar camera. It starred Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, Gary Fucking Busey and a bunch of nobodies.

Made by the same studio at the same time was another show called The First Family. It was also terrible.

I know this isn't an entire TV show, but the Boondocks Season 4 is hot garbage. This is worse than other shows that jumped the shark because with the Boondocks, each season was better than the last with Season 3 being the peak. Season 4 came along and then took a shit all over it. It's like an entirely different show or a bootleg if you will, hate to go with food metaphors but it's like eating a really good meal for a few years but then eating the same meal but the ingredients were not there that made it good but it just looks the same.

Season 4 had a lot of behind the scenes issues with a producer being backed out, and Sony apparently threw out the main writer and creator because he wasn't writing "fast enough" and then cut the episodes down to 10 from the original 20 episodes. They then replaced the creator as the showrunner with some woman who never worked on the show before and was only known for writing Scrubs while an established writer that was still on, only wrote three episodes.

The show definitely had a massive shift as most of the supporting cast who were what helped make the show quite entertaining were cut out which made it feel smaller. A lot of the characters were butchered or "flanderized" with Granddad being more of an idiot, Huey being a generic comedic straight man, Riley being a dumb kid, and Ruckus somehow being more racist to a point it's not even that funny given his constant pushes to bring back slavery (at one point he had a job as a slaveowner makes sense in context and there were white slaves which was really out of character that he was fine with it given a huge part of Ruckus' entire character revolves around worshipping all white people, but he's fine with white slaves). They also tried an overarching story which didn't work well with a new villain, Ed II who was boring as hell and barely even there to the point he could've been replaced by his dad and it wouldn't have made a difference. The overarching story (which was a generic making money to get out of debt plot) only happened because Granddad was more idiotic than usual and it was just an excuse so the show can have a bunch of wacky hijinks (I will get more into this later). There were also plenty of episodes that relied on pop culture references (Breaking Bad, and the movie "Her" being more notable) and felt really dated which goes against the writing philosophy for the first three seasons which were written so they could be timeless episodes. They rehashed two episodes from previous seasons, one of which tried to be cute by making a self-aware jab which still doesn't excuse rehashing an old episode.

The wacky hijinks angle this season went for was dumb as while Boondocks was really ridiculous in many ways, the episodes were mostly social commentary about varying issues that still go on to this day and turning it into wacky hijinks just turns The Boondocks from a stand-out show to a generic adult animated sitcom which it never was. It is like after the Simpsons golden age, it immediately went into the Zombie/Post-Mortem age of the Simpsons we see today rather than a gradual decline. The whiplash is massive and it really is clear Season 4 is an entirely different show.

EDIT: Not to mention, the social commentary in Season 4 is basic and just boiled down to "Racism bad", "Making fun of the disabled bad", and "Slavery bad"

Overall, that season I couldn't even call the Boondocks since Season 4 had most of the writing staff gone save for one guy who wrote less than half the episodes, a new showrunner who clearly didn't understand the show she was running and treated the show as a generic adult animated sitcom, most of the supporting characters being non-existent, and the voice actors sounded like they were phoning in their performance, clearly not enjoying what they were doing. I hope Season 5 goes in a better direction especially with the modern political age giving lots of good material and the original creator returning back.

Misfits of Science, a sitcom/light action show that Brandon Tartikoff put on NBC in 1985 for sixteen episodes. It was some group of "superpowered" people having "zany" adventures. Starred an extremely young Courtney Cox. There's one guy who controls lightning and electricity. He's also supposed to be a rock n' roll dude, so one episode he absorbs too much electricity and he has to bleed off the extra. He does this, of course, by clumsily dancing and lip-syncing to Johnny B. Goode while shooting off bad special effects lightning.

The guy that played Predator in the first two movies is on the show as a tall black guy who can shrink to being a tiny black dude by pressing the back of his neck.

The pilot episode had Mickey Jones, Bob Dylan's drummer, as a temperature-controlling ice man simpleton. They drove around in an ice cream truck so he wouldn't melt. They never showed him again after the pilot episode because Marvel threatened a lawsuit over the character, but they still drove around in the ice cream truck for the next fifteen episodes. Yes, this is all as insanely bad as it sounds.

Oh, and the dad from Alf was on, too.

Here's the worst intro music ever composed: Feels Like Science by Karen Lawrence and Basil Poledouris. Basil Poledouris, of course, is better known for composing the music for Conan the Barbarian.

i wont say it's the worst but i just watched the creepshow holiday special on shudder and well...it's based on the shudder tv show and while i cant speak for that show it just feels like it doesn't know what it's trying to be.

edit: I take back what i said, this is the worst thing to bear the creepshow name since 3. It starts out corny and unfocused but towards the end it goes into full on batshit crazy oh and as a bonus the budget was apparently so low they didn't have enough for exeplosion effects so they just transition to comic panels to cover it up. there goes 45 mins of my life il never get back

One minute you have jokes about stool samples and rectal exams, but then you have pretty good puppetry and effects and for some reason it randomly does that thing the og creepshow would often do with the lighting to look like an EC comic come to life.

Really the special is unfocused, it doesn't know how to balance comedy and horror without going into full on parody territory. Also way back when I could have sworn their were rumors going around that the special was gonna be animated, it's not. It would have been nice to see an adult animated horror special.

so idk where else to say this i give it a 5/10 medicore and wasted potential, but not the worst thing to bear the creepshow name *Cough* Creepshow 3 *Cough*
The show is awful. Almost as bad as Creepshow 3. If Shudder didn't have Joe Bob Briggs then I think they would have closed down shop by now.

actually i changed my opinion on it and yeah its just as bad if not worse. also about the show, really? I saw that one ep with tobin bell and thought it was ok guess it was the only one out of the rest to be actually good. The only thing i can give some credit too are the makeup effects, they look on par if not better than all but the best monster effects of the 80s especially the evil santa, like i wish it was in a better evil santa movie. Nightmare cheetah lady aside, seriously they already had a character who says they're a furry in the special but i think the guy who did the cheetah makeup IS a furry if that design is anything to go by)

edit: There IS an animated creepshow special, its..."better" than this furry fetish film but the "animation" is barley more than a motion comic, also the story at some points is a ripoff of "tales from the black freighter" from watchmen...and hell THAT was better animated and it was a direct to dvd movie that was later incorporated into the watchmen ultimate cut.

Out of all the TV shows I've seen (at least, those that weren't just pilots that were rightfully never picked up), I'd say the worst would be this TBS cartoon called Tarantula. I can't even tell you what it was about or what the characters were, because it was about the most boring TV show ever made. While there's shows I consider worse, at least those actually got SOME emotion out of me (even if it was just a desire to disembowel the cast). Tarantula, on the other hand, just me pray for a release from this utter boredom. Pretty telling that it only ran for one season before getting dumped because nobody wanted to watch it.

How were the earlier episodes of The Boondocks written to be "timeless?" Let's get Oprah had Oprah Winfrey and Bill Cosby. Riley Wuz here had a Bob Ross parody. Those references were dated as shit.
