The Worst TV Shows You've Ever Seen

any live action show Cartoon Network made, It was either a rip off of a much better show "dude what would happen?/mythbusters" or a shitty american version of a japanese game show "hole in the wall/brainwall". So glad they've stopped making them and went back to animation only.

Stressed Eric has to be the worst cartoon show ever made. Every episode was pretty much like this..

https://youtube.com/watch?v=vhe3vSe-mmw

I think Stressed Eric was meant to be a comment on modern British life.

Unless you're talking about the American version with Hank Azaria, then yeah, I agree. Why was everyone talking like Americans in fucking London?

If they were going to be accurate, it would be Russian/Gulf States/Somali/Eastern European!

Someone mentioned Ancient Aliens upthread. On History Channel they also have a lot of dumb UFO Hunting shows, it's as dumb as those ghost hunting shows. Also those documentaries where they try to prove that Nostradamus predicted 9/11 and Hitler.

Glee.

It's essentially Kidz Bop meets High School Musical. And the way they ruined Van Halen and Fleetwood Mac (w/Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham) is unacceptable.

At least Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, classic Guns n' Roses, and Fleetwood Mac (w/Peter Green) were spared of this bit of ear molestation.

Also, as mentioned on the Farms, Ryan Murphy is an insufferable cockbag.

Sanford and Son was better than Steptoe and Son.

I said 'pretty much'. I still maintain that The American Office was better than the British one (FUCK Ricky Gervais)

They also really fucked up The Doors. So much so, even Glee fans complained!

Gotham

Made it in four episodes, but I couldn't fucking tell who was supposed to be the main character - Gordon or goddamn Penguin. Not to mention Penguin coming back to Gotham after his "death" should have been a season finale grade cliffhanger, not episode fucking three, where all he did away from Gotham is just pointlessly kill other people.

Also from what I hear, Fish Mooney literally is just not important in the long term anyway, rendering her entire existence inconsequential. Despite every implication she's somehow a big player in the long term.

In Gotham's defense, they do eventually give a reason why Penguin came back (And why the whole thing with him and Gordon in the first episode started to begin with) in episode 7. Apparently Penguin is a lot more savvy than one may think. His role greatly approves after that as well. But yeah, I feel like it should've been at least a mid season finale.

I disagree about Fish Mooney though. With her, I think it's interesting that you see what crime life was like in Gotham long before Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. And I don't think that it should be a requirement that every single villain that appears in the Batman mythos should have a huge influence or should be around by the time Bruce dons the cowl. Maybe it's because I'm a nerd but I kinda like the background stuff that adds to the lore.

Glee.

Came in the this thread just to mention this. Thing is, my problem with Glee isn't the music (Most of their covers were awful but some of them were at least listenable if not actually good) but the fucking atmosphere. In the very beginning, it was very clear that it was making fun of cliche high school specials....only to become a modern day high school special. And it bothered me how they tried to balance both a strong morality while having tongue in cheek humor. Like fuck, you can't have several episodes beating the audience over the head on why gay bullying is so awful and have all this other social commentary but yet have the token minority and gay characters act so stereotypical that even Family Guy would cringe. It just came off as so smug while being so unaware on what they were doing

Also Ryan Murphy seems like a huge douche in real life and this is coming from someone that actually likes some of his shows (American Horror Story has been a guilty pleasure of mines for quite sometime)

The creator also fucking hates bisexual people for some reason and turned a bi character gay just to piss them of or something he admitted it

I saw the Rocky Horror episode of that when one of my middle-school teachers recommended it to me.

What a fucking piece of shit that was.

(She didn't normally have shitty tastes, though...)

Another particularly vile cartoon was 1993's "Stone Protectors", a horribly misguided attempt to market troll dolls (you know, those weird naked things with the spooky faces, unblinking eyes, and Don King hair that white trash used to use as keychains) to boys who liked action cartoons.

22 years later, I'm still in a state of disbelief that someone not only thought this was a good idea but several other people approved it. Someone walked into a pitch meeting at Troll Corp LLC, snorted a massive line of coke and said, "So the TMNT are a thing. They're a group of guys who fight so I was thinking we make our own group of guys who fight...except they'll be trolls! We can have like a ninja troll on rollerskates, a wrestler troll, a karate troll I think, a troll with grenades and a handgun strapped to his chest, and the last one can be a mountain climber troll or something, I dunno."

"I dunno, Steve, that sounds a little--"

"I'm not done. They'll also be in a band because reasons!"

At this point, someone probably just said "well, at least they aren't nude" and everyone else in the board meeting nodded their heads and allowed Stone Protectors to happen. Oh, and don't bother hunting this down for laughs because it's Hammerman levels of unwatchable.

Speaking of Hammerman...

Look at that wonderful animation. Why, it puts the best work of Disney and Warner Bros. to shame...
Hanna-Barbera should've learn a thing or two from this show.

Honestly, Hammerman's one of those anomalies. It's like they got everything wrong. I think the only show of this kind that's worse is this:

AKA, that one show that decided to go all YTP and confused concert stock footage for animation.

Even Jay Ward's cheap Mexican animation is better, really.

(Incidentally, I know you're part of TheAnnotatXperiment - did you do any annotations on the Hammerman video?)
Holly shit, how? No, only during the fifth anniversary videos. I didn't join until near the end of the Mega Man/DKC season 1 run.

Also yeah, as lazy and cheap the animation in Ward's work is, DiC I think beat them at their game in those shows (and several of their later series).

I believe you said so yourself on another post in this forum.

Most of DIC's shows in the 90s and 2000s could probably count here. After losing their founder (Jean Chalopin) and the foreign rights to their library, their stuff seemed to take a nosedive in quality.

Yeah, I think it was another member's wall (@ShiningPokeStar's if I remember right). Don't remember if I mentioned it in another topic though.

And that reminds me, which is your least favorite DiC show from that era?c Personally, it's a tie between SatAM (not because I riffed the second season either, I have legit complaints about the show) and Sherlock Holmes in The 22 Century (Stupid idea, terrible CGI, lazy attempt to reinvent the character). Don't remember that one? Have a refresher:
