So their actually required to safe guard the machine. The guy in the video is probably aware of that. so what that illustrates is not only are they incredibly stupid and unaware of their duties to safeguard the machine but they also have a duty to report if it has been tampered with. They way he does it is so blatant and exaggerated that a normal trained individual would intervene, but you see the jeet just stand by. He shows both that they are either suspicious by freaking out offering to pay (fear of getting caught), or apathetic and incompetent by failing to intervene.

Also if memory serves the machine doesn't belong to the store, it belongs to the vendor of the machine. It's why when they get replaced you'll almost never find them in dumpsters.
