It sounds like they’re nervous about this movie bombing. It’s coming out during a packed release schedule where there will be plenty of other distractions thanks to the covid movie build up.

Sept 24: Venom
Oct 1: Dune
Oct 8: No Time to Die
Oct 15: Halloween
Oct 22: Last Night in Soho
Nov 5: Eternals
Nov 19: Top Gun: Maverick
Nov 24: Encanto

Oh as typing this the trailer just dropped:

It looks boring and uninspired.

Like the MCU in general now.

That shot where they stand in a v-formation looks as stupid as I thought it would look when I read it in the leak. The "Who's gonna lead the Avengers?" bit at the end seemed a little forced, maybe it's smoother in the final cut(if it's there at all.)

I'll give them this, they didn't spoil the entire movie in the trailer like they usually do. There's still time, though.

>we have never interfered til now
>literally show them helping out ancient civilizations

Looks dumb and gay.

But those qualities didn't stop some previous films from succeeding, so it'll be an unprecedented success and ensure whatever's next in Phase Gay will ramp it up to eleven.

Prove me wrong, consoomers.

The neutral colors, gold filigree, and monolith spaceship made of hotel marble make it feel like the whole movie was designed by a corporate interior decorator.

It reminds me of Star Trek: Insurrection, where all the alien costumes look like somebody altered a bunch of neutral clothes from JC Penny.

Even the sets look like the retail space near an upscale mcmansion subdivision. They're going to Olive Garden tonight.

Earth tones, people!

That’s how I felt about Wakanda too. Everything about that set just FELT like a movie set, it didn’t feel like a real city that real people lived in. Their designers have always been better at the grungy, lived-in aesthetic like GOTG or Ragnorak. Anything clean and futuristic just looks completely soulless and unrealistic.

>We never interfere with humans
Yeah because The 2 Alien invasions are TOTALLY JUST HUMAN MATTERS..and the Second one wasn't a god damn Universal threat.

The Eternals are Douchebag Faggots and there is no amount of Diversity to change my mind about that when they could have done something to help fight god damn Thanos.

Why is there a Bollywood dance scene?
The character in the comics was originally a Japanese action film star but I guess Bollywood doesn't do action films and they really, desperately needed the character to be played by Kumail Nanjiani so they decided this was just as good.

Apparently Kingo was a fucking samurai and thus starred in a lot of samurai movies and now I'm pissed because we could've gotten a cool-ass samurai but instead we get... this.

Why is there a Bollywood dance scene?
India also has a lot of people and thus a lot of wallets. Disney might be trying to hedge their bets given how hard they have tried and failed to get Chinabux.
Because of one indian actor and tonedeaf exec decisions.
Or that.

That's so massively cynical and pathetic that it's up there with how in their Mulan remake that was filmed with the help of the Uighur Genocide Committee, the Huns were filmed looking like members of ISIS.

What is the point of giving your characters colorful costumes if your are going to make the colors so mute with the cinematography? It reminds me of the Zack Snider's color pallet in Man of Steel, it's just so ugly and boring. As if the costumes are not already a downgrade of the weird cosmic design (the only of note about the property).
