Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

couldn’t you have shelled out $2000 to pay for chemotherapy for Tabitha Mittens??
I could tell my vet was relieved I immediately chose to euthanize when she gave me options between that and expensive treatment. We are shepherds for our animals and they deserve respect. My cat was 16 years old and I had done my duty.

100%.

That'll never happen though because of these sorts of people who propagate this bullshit about THEY CAN ALL BE SAYVED before dropping multiple thousand on a man-biter's health issues. You've a point with consent. Animals can't consent to that kind of treatment, and it's not gentle.

I think sometimes, the most humane thing for all involved is just to euthanize. It's sad that people don't see that anymore, and it's even more sad saying so is akin to calling someone a nigger to animal lovers.
My friend had a dog once, he got cancer. The doctors could’ve helped him but the treatment would’ve been long, painful, and barely worth it. So they figured atp it was best for him to just rest. I could see where they were coming from cause the dog seemed miserable.

Similar situation but my dog was too old to safely go under anesthesia even if that was a viable option.
It’s all about quality of life.

If an animal still has quality of life, it’s not time yet.
Once that quality of life turns to pain and confusion and suffering with no way back, we owe it to them to give them a kind death.

Not many people or animals get a kind death where they just go to sleep and never know differently.
That’s a gift.

I remember this case. Out of Memphis. An infant boy and a toddler girl were killed by these shitbeasts. The wife was seriously injured as well.
They owned those dogs for 8 to 9 years and they nearly wiped that whole family out. The father was a total pit nut in his facebook posts while the wife rarely posted anything. There are pics of her with the dogs but she always seemed stiff and uncomfortable. A friend said Kristie had started talking about not trusting them a year before the attack. What gets me is the dogs almost killed her but her husband's brother(who was there during the attack) still posts retarded pictures of his pitbull on his facebook. I wonder how she feels seeing that shit after what happened? FB_IMG_1783989976882.jpg

And these kittens are often so small they need pellets for litter which smells way worse the clumping litter.
I find that the pine pellet litter smells less than the clumping stuff, but I suspect that it's different for very little babies who don't quite know how to cover yet.
Humanely euthanizing animals is looked at by default with suspicion
There's an awful humanization of animals that I think people do. A dog will never understand suffering through chemo the way a person will—to an animal, it's just torture. I suspect animal shelters attract people with a narcissistic bent: animals will never disagree or criticize, and dogs especially have been bred to be so friendly and obedient that i can see why a cluster B would latch onto them. Also, being an advocate for homeless and abused animals will almost always net them tons of praise.

I hate these people so much. The man singlehandedly gets his entire immediate family killed, and for what? A failed attempt to prove some point that these animals with a predisposition towards violence aren't violent? When does the risk versus reward become too skewed for these people? This man traded the lives of two human beings in exchange for clout, plain and simple. He didn't care about defending his precious doggy angels, he was trying to prove a point and was willing to gamble his own babies for it.

It doesn't matter your feral animal hasn't mauled anything to death yet. It only needs to happen one time. Do you actually think everyone who has been torn apart by these things simply didn't train them well enough? That you are the only pit bull owner who truly understands them and 22-year-old med student Susan who had her throat torn out was secretly rewarding her dog for pit fighting behavior the whole time?

I was attacked by a pitbull, too. Just 0 to 100 in an instant. Not teasing it or poking it, just standing around and waiting before it lunges at me and bites, leaving two gashes when I barely pulled away in time while its female owner half my size tried to pull it back with a leash. You cannot trust these animals at any point. The very notion of leaving it unsupervised with your family only makes me wish it was you sticking your neck out to get mauled to death, not convince me they're actually safe.

Now, there’s been a decided shift towards narcissism. It isn’t about what’s best for the animals anymore. It’s about what makes the “animal lovers” feel good.
I can believe it. When I was going to volunteer at a cat shelter, I was not aware it was in a 3-story house. When I mentioned it to the person I was with, someone else said something to the effect of "Sorry they're not all in cages," I said "No, actually. I thought it would be all on one floor like the shelter I adopted from in Maryland." It was 24 years ago, so I don't remember what it looked like aside from that one big room.

The shelter itself had good intentions, actually - the cats were separated on floors based on their needs, with the top floor being very young cats or immunocompromised ones. It wasn't really a bad setup, but that woman pissed me off when I already wasn't thrilled to climb death stairs.

I'm surprised that the little dog survived. Unfortunately, this is going to keep happening until pit owners consistently get more than a slap on the wrist when their dog attacks pets and people. The fines aren't enough of a deterrent.
I have thought for some time now, that the easiest way to solve the pitbull/"badly trained dog" problem, is to pass a law that would make a dog attacking someone legally equivalent to its owner attacking someone.

E.g. if your dog bites someone, you are personally charged for assault. If it kills someone, you are personally charged for murder.

It's logically sound because it cracks down on negligent/careless dog owners, but excludes edge cases like the dog defending the owner from a real attack. And it's also logical because dog owners should be able to control their dogs, either physically or with proper training.

Also helps to "validate" the pitnutters who go on and on about how "It's the owner, not the dog!" while they are dragged off to court for murder charges kicking and screaming about how they're not murderers because the innocent bystander who got mauled totally deserved it.

So the more people get to see how deranged and psychotic pitnutters are, the better.

This might be late but this guy made some pure kino of him fending off niggerbulls in 4K slowmotion. Sadly he used pepper spray instead of 50 bmg but it is 30 min of pure kino.
I can’t watch the video rn, but how does this work? Does he like train pitbulls to attack him and then he pepper sprays them? Or did he coincidentally have a slow mo camera on him during an actual dog attack? Not even being snarky here, just genuinely confused.

It’s actually a law in the Bible, but I can’t remember if it’s after the 2nd or 3rd strike
Exodus 21:28-29 (assuming this is the passage you were thinking of)
28;If a bull gores a man or woman to death, the bull is to be stoned to death, and its meat must not be eaten. But the owner of the bull will not be held responsible.
29;If, however, the bull has had the habit of goring and the owner has been warned but has not kept it penned up and it kills a man or woman, the bull is to be stoned and its owner also is to be put to death

add (pit) in front of every instance of bull and replace gore/goring with nannies/nannying and we solve the shitbull problem entirely.

He's got a prosthetic leg hooked onto a bike, lives and bikes around trailer trash. Equipped a go pro and a rear cam and a pepper spray. So many dogs have tried to get him he just has a montage of BTFO-ing bitey dogs.
Cyclists set off dogs prey instincts big time, so if theyre off leash and the owner is a shitbag its almost guarrenteed to bite him.
