Sort of. North American Reds are not brown, but Central and South American ones are. The fewer Spaniards in the woodpile the better, it would seem. There's also the whole "epicanthic fold" thing.

Edit: If you're a red and trying to prove non-brownness you should probably include a can of Aquanet and/or bottle of Night Train in your hand photo.

I assume some verification of your online identity would be needed in the photo for it to be valid. For example, the Redditors usually have a paper with their username on it in the photo. Alternatively, a few people on Kiwi Farms posted their hand in front of their computer logged into the site to verify.

Still, it seems trivial to edit the photo to make your hand look white.
