"Can we talk about abortion?"
"Only in reference to tard babies!"
Cue a ton of randos showing up to sperg about abortion and birth control.

This is why we can't have nice things.
Arguably, ignorance (willful or otherwise) towards contraception and abortion is exactly why we have nice things...

Our little potato blessings.

GTFO with the ladylike PL'ing about how uwu awful hormonal birth control is. Hormones are tricky, just like psych drugs are tricky. It may take a few trials before you find something that you can get along with.

The main downside (other than lady drama) for hormonal BC is that it provides zero protection against warts and gleet. Gleet is inconvenient and harder all the time to treat with antibiotics, and it can really fuck up your pelvic organs and make you actually infertile.

Some warts cause cancer, and those of us who didn't get the wart vax as kids are probably already infected. Like they say, you're sleeping with every other person your partner has ever slept with. Get your yearly pap tests or die of cancer, whichever makes the most sense for you.

If you're pregnant with a spud, or if you're likely to birth another spud, test for everything and terminate if it looks sketchy. Spare yourself and society the heroism of raising one when you KNEW this was preventable. Don't be like the Hartleys or Luna's crazy family. If you already have a spud, use the child's actual quality of life to determine the care plan, not instagram clicks or sky daddy points.

I have a feeling this abortion sperging and stuff is exactly what the moai statues are for
Depends. Frankly lots of people like to use them generally for positions they disagree with rather than what they’re intended for. And general discussion isn’t always political in nature, even if your jimmies get rustled. If someone comes in spewing pro-life or pro-choice crap then yeah, otherwise I fail to see where it’s warranted. Though I digress.
Back to the regularly scheduled children.

Stetson's mom's really not handling things well:

The giant head pillow reminds me of the stuff Robyn does. She also bought a cat that she attempting to push things Stetson did onto.
I really hope she seeks bereavement therapy, this seems a little much, but I’m not going to judge her on how she grieves. Loosing a kid fucks you up in all kinds of weird ways.

oh, looks like it was moved to this thread. I read through it and I will say though, I am surprised a lot of people had a lot of problems with the implant, because for me, it is awesome! Then again, it is said to have a one in three chance of stopping periods all together and I might have just lucked out.

edit:
I will concede and say though that replacing the implant can be a bit tricky sometimes, especially removing the old one since they can be a bit fussy coming out. Almost passed out last time, but luckily I was in a doctor's office and it was worth it. Also, first time I got it, I was a bit nauseous like I had morning sickness for a couple weeks and the last two times I got it replaced I got really weepy, but luckily those symptoms stopped after a week. Again, it is nothing compared to the amazing benefits of no extra pills and no periods.

If you are the 33 percent, you will not be disappointed.

So I met with my gyno about my PCOS diagnosis and they have recommended me being off of birth control for 3 months just to see what my hormone levels are currently (they need to see how just out of whack they are, and bc can skew the results) and it has left me miserable. I had been on birth control for 10 years so I am not used to this lmao.

I clicked on this thread because I too was just recommended to stop the pill for 3 months. Not pcos but something else. This is month 2 and I haven't had my period yet, but they said that was normal. I was on the pill for 15 years 😬

I have only been on bc twice in my life to try to help the symptoms of endometriosis. Once was a patch that never stayed on and the other was the depo shot which almost ruined my life because the side effects were so gnarly.

That's actually...not normal. Are they trialing you for endo or something?

I will say there's something called post-birth control syndrome after getting off the COC where your hormones never actually normalize. It's incredibly rare though and still contentious if it's an actual thing or not.

Interesting. My gyn told me it was normal to have no/abnormal periods for about 3 months. 🤷‍♀️

The estimate can be up to 6 months. What is normal for one can be abnormal for another. There are other possible causes for the abscence of periods so be sure to consult your gyno about them too.

This was the wrong thread to read a day before I go to the doctor to get my nexplanon removed. It turned me into a real bitch. Of course the copper IUD was offered and I wanted to do it. But I really don’t want to bleed for 6 months. I wish I just sterilized myself after the second one.

There's also Phexxi as another non-hormonal option.

YMMV. All my patients hate it. Timing is finicky and it's...goopy.

Honestly this is the first time I’ve heard of a gel like that. They only offer the copper ID at my provider. I’m going to look more into this, thanks!

I had that stupid Nexplanon implant in my arm. The first three months were great until I randomly started to get sick practically every other day, then every day, then every single night. I couldn't lay down, I couldn't sit, everything was uncomfortable in my body and I even lost weight due to this bullshit because who the hell wants to eat food when you're constantly puking your guts up. The mood swings/changes got pretty bad too, and it ultimately led to me demanding that a doctor pull the bullshit out. The E.R. first denied me because "oh well we didn't do it so it's not our responsibility", so I went to a Planned Parenthood copycat and demanded they take me in due to the fact that I was sick nearly every day and couldn't function properly.

All in all, fuck birth control. Your fiance/boyfriend is a retard if they can't successfully pull out every time. Condoms also are fine, just invest in Okamoto/Crown, they're thinner than your usual Trojan so I don't want to hear bullshit about how your dick "can't feel a thing".
Pre still has millions and millions of sperm, pull out is for idiots. Just wrap your willy or don't fuck.

I forgot to say. I went to my gyno in September. His suggestion on birth control for PCOS is either IUD (fuck no) or depo shot every two months. I chose the depo shot every two months.

As a formerly obese fat fuck, all that body fat will cause your PCOS and PMS to become worse. Besides the neck and facial hair, my PCOS is mostly gone. I barely have any PMS symptoms anymore. I wish doctors would have told the obese fat fuck me to stop eating so god damn much and more my lard ass more.

Edit: Forgot the word hair.

Tbh it's less bleeding more mild spotting. For me it was 2 months, but haven't had any issues since. Depends on how your body usually handles that kind of thing, you could probably guess at how long it'll take to chill out.

It really depends. I've had to yank Paragard on several patients because the bloodgates never chilled out even after three months. They just got tired of dealing with it.

Others handle it just fine, so I don't know.

I was on paragard for a few years and really didn’t have much bleeding on it. A little spotting and then nothing. Not sure if it was just my body being weird or paragraph related though.

Sometimes I think that humans need to be forced to undergo abortions if only because so many of the fuckers are making this planet worse by creating more idiots.
