you are a bad person! Krombacher and Warsteiner are bad beer and you should kill yourself!

They are good Pils for the price and quite available where I am. They (especialy Warsteiner) taste exactly how you would want beers in that style to taste

Has anyone tried any white stouts before? I've been curious about them for awhile and I tried the Dragon's Milk white tonight and thought it was pretty interesting, now I'd like to try another, seems like a good late summer/early fall beer.

Just read a harsh review of my beloved Czech 1795 Premium Dark.
It affected me to such an extent I had to drown my sorrows (in 1795 Premium Dark).

I dont drink that much beer they are mainly for my guests. ill have one every year or so but I have 3 or 4, 36 case packs of Cosco beer in my garage fridge.

Its called Kirkland lager. You can find them next to the pants.

I have heard alot of complaints since i got them in 2017. I personally think they taste fine. Hey if you come over to my house and ask for a beer your g onna get one of these. I had alot of them because they were on a buy nothing group on facebook.

they are well past their expiration date but again i just dont do beer and until i find some for free this is it.

Ive got a bottle of Justerini & Brooks if you want something better

What's people's thoughts on Heineken trying to compete with guinness with their new stout "Island's edge"?

Has anyone tried it?

I'd be interested in a decent stout. My current stout (generally for cooking) is Kalamazoo Stout. Apparently it's fairly popular because they're usually out of it shortly after it showing up again.

I like stouts. Imperial stouts are good. Guinness is overrated though, it's kinda like the mcdonalds of stouts.

I reckon even if Heineken's offering is better they still won't be able to compete with Guinness.

I've heard they only export the crap version. I mainly use it for reduction sauces, half stout, half brown sugar, a bit of olive oil, cook on low temp for about an hour.

I think that's just a myth that it doesnt travel well. The perfect pour stuff is a lot of nonsense too, regardless of how you pour it, it'll settle eventually. I've had people throw massive shitfits IRL at me because I've dared to say their beloved guinness is average and theres better stouts out there.

On that note though, I do want to make a steak and guinness pie someday

they sometimes have the good stuff in cans... the can has some little ball full of gas inside.
also ever tried Schwarzbier? its good from a bottle, has the same creamy taste qualities, is better to reduce into a sauce and you should get atleast the bi9g german brands(those are decent).

Got a case of my fave beers.
thats good stuff, the best Keller Beer you can get everywhere(small local breweries have better but some of them only sell in their hometown).

I love Schwarzbier, Altbier and Doppelbocks mate.

I'm in Australia so have limited selection. Would love to tour Germany trying all the small batch Keller and Zwickelbiers!

I prefer stouts, porters, and brown ales.

In no particular order some of my favorites from the last 10-12 years:

Funky Budda’s chocwork orange, Last Snow, and Void Shaker barrel aged vanilla stout.
Terrapin’s Moo Hoo (on tap or in a glass bottle.)
Guinness’s Nitro Coffee Stout
Lazy Magnolia’s Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale
Kona’s koko brown ale
Founder’s Porter, Breakfast Stout, and KBS
Sierra Nevada’s porter
Samuel Smith’s chocolate stout
Stone Brewing’s Xocoveza

And on the other end of things, I love light beers that have a fuckton of heat from spicy peppers.
I’m quite fond of Twisted Pine’s Ghost Face Killah but their Billies Chilies is also a good beer in the same vein but with less heat and more pepper flavour.
