Pilsner Urquell sucks. Faggot Europhiles shill it as the one true beer but it is an overly bitter shithammer of a pilsner with a gross aftertaste that absolutely does not live up to the hype.
Well they need to sell that stuff somewhere, nobody in europe wants it. just buy budweiser, much better Czech super macro.

or you can just ignore it and hop on the next beer trend early.... Helles is the future, its super nice and right now you can still find it.
I would suggest trying Bayreuther Hell.

I'm Czech and I don't really know anyone that "loves" Pilsner (although I have heard of such people, so they do exist). It is overpriced, but decent and usually available at least bottled. When other options suck, this one is the go-to. Like a McDonalds of beer I guess. They recently introduced new 0,3l bottles "due to costumer demand", which is pure lunacy.
They also introduced a new beer "proud", trying to market it to younger generations due to young people not drinking enough beer (this conception seems to be false in my friend circle, but maybe), it tastes terrible, too sweet. They also own a lot of the other breweries here, including some I like, which sucks.
I haven't drank much Budweiser, and I don't think I've even seen them on tap in pubs. I think they do mainly export.
From the traditional beers I like the most I'd probably mention Poutník, Radegast, Březňák and Bernard. Bernard has the best bottles with the old-school ceramic caps imo. If you see some of those, I'd recommend trying them out.
But over all I think it's almost always gonna be better to just find a local brewery that makes good beer you can drink from the tap of a pub, rather than shipping beer halfway across the world just due to the country of origin.
Damn, I'd like a beer right about now, unfortunately there are none in my fridge :heart-empty:

Youtube mad scientist nileblue made a superbeer, he took 20 cans of budweiser, freeze dried it, mixed ethanol with it, and made a beer with an 80% abv.

i mostly only drink heineken and angry orchard, still looking for a good hefeweizen that's not overpriced hipster trash or mass produced piss water.

Inb4 you need to have it straight from a Czech guy's asshole or it doesn't count. Shut up faggot.
Agreed. The bitter aftertaste is awful, every sip tastes like disappointment.

Beer is supposed to be a light and refreshing kind of beverage, so all those heavy IPAs are a goddamn sin that shouldn't exist. Sours get a pass since they bridge beer and cider. Ice beer is rock bottom that gets the job done. I'd say Germany and Japan are kings of beer.
