The American ninja franchise is a soft spot of mine. I just love the basic formula of Ninja's murdering people followed by our heroes solving the problem by organizing a military reprisal and gunning them all down.

And Ninja assassin is literally the same thing but R rated. it's great.

I love the 60s-70s gothic horror era of Roger Corman’s American International production company where they take some vague premise like The Raven and turn it into a wizard fight between Vincent Price and Boris Karloff. Here’s Vincent quite literally just monologuing some Poe in a stage performance. It’s kino.

Yeah man the 60s and 70s produced some awesome creative stuff that just wouldn't make it off of the idea board today and that's a shame. The Raven is my favorite movie from the 60s that i've seen so far and it's just a goofy little story about wizards beefing it doesn't have a damn thing to do with the Poe story but it's genuinely great lol.

Did you know Vincent Price was the host of a canadian horror themed comedic sketch show in the 70s? It's called "The Hilarious House of Frightenstein". It's crazy obscure and sadly it has never had a full physical release due to copyright issues with licensed music. It nearly became utterly lost media due to it being region locked to canada but horror fans spread it around the internet thankfully so it hasn't been completely lost.

I’ve said in the Horror General before that the 60s is my favorite decade. Unhinged fever dream of schlock like this

Yeah I’ve tracked down pretty much everything Vincent Price has ever done. If you want to really soy out, watch ‘House of Long Shadows’ which has him, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and John Carradine. Also all of his records are essential ambience for Halloween.
