He's still the most "well written" because he's the only character in this circus who talks like a rational adult and comes across as the most earnest,. When you stop to read closely, a lot of his advice is just vague pep talk stuff, but it still feels incharacter and that he really wants to help.

All the other characters just got worse characterization after episode five, because it became all about Jax. Post episode five, all the characters revolve around their feelings about Jax, so it made them one dimensional in the process. Pomni became the ultimate abuse apologist though, which rubbed me the wrong way. She even shames Ragatha for having completely valid complaints about Jax, because Jax is just “misunderstood,” according to Pomni.

Didn't the 1st episode either imply or outright state (Don't care enough to go back and confirm, sorry.) that Kaufmo abstracted because he went mad looking for an exit to the circus? Like he was obsessed with it? But now apparently it's just because Jax was being a faggot to him?

They hint at it with his final conversation with Jax, with him saying he thinks he's found an exit, only for Jax to call him crazy as he leaves.
Also note that in that convo, he mentions how he and Jax don't get along, despite them having previously been best buds.
The funniest part is it would have been so easy to fix this. Just have some system where certain limbs can't be combined with other limbs. So if Zooble tries to put on a good left arm, when she tries to put on a matching right arm the left arm pops off. So she's constantly shuffling limbs around trying to find a combination that's actually allowed that also doesn't suck ass.
Also Zooble should've been the one who got hit by a car instead of ribbons, and ribbons was brainscanned as part of diagnosing/treating her extreme bipolar disorder. So there's a hint of irony, Zooble is scanned in not knowing if all her limbs are even intact and ribbons literally has mood problems to go with the happy/sad masks thing. This is so fucking obvious that I'm astounded it wasn't just done that way, like what the fuck
