The actual in-scene context of this is she's his romantic interest and he just told her that he may have murdered his mom by the way. All the reels and shit framing it as a trans scene ignore that.
I mean if you check the rest of the thread after the show ended they've started trying to pander to the trans theory people by going "it was always intended" when all the trans theory shit is based on shit completely taken out of context and in some cases is shit like jax hitting the ribbon woman (gangle) out of the way after pretending to be polite.

The worst part is they blatantly just try to write it all off with 'oh everyone was brain scans" as if that solves everything and doesn't conflict at all with any of the previous episodes.
It erased the higher stakes feeling you had in previous episodes, and apparently committing sudoku in the game has no actual impact on your real body in real life. At that point, you may as well make it into a slice of life tv show where the main conflicts are just smaller, mundane obstacles rather than the difference between life and death.
Even if you wanted to make the Jax show, you can still have other characters play a big part. Ragataha should have a major grudge against Jax for killing her friend Ribbit and their feud should play a more central role in the story as the primary social conflict that Pomni is inserted between. They kinda act like it is there, but it doesn't really manifest in the story as it should.
Especially Gangle, I find it real weird how Jax's main victim still cries for him in the end. Mix in with Jax being a self insert it gives me a weird vibe about it. I wonder if Gangle and Ribbit have IRL counterparts that Goose expects to forgive him.
Or at least leave him off the mural at the end. It is incredibly tasteless having him posed smiling next to his victims.
Even if they were proper humans and not copies, there isn't any stakes. After all the abuse the cast goes through, the only one that gets close to abstraction is Jax and even then it seems less like something on a hair trigger that goes off at a moment of weakness but instead a long drawn out process that actually requires the user's consent to let it happen. Given how few people have been in the circus and how long it has been running, a person would abstract every few YEARS. It isn't really an active threat.
I hate how Goose acts like we are the retards for his bad writing. Same with his "boymodder" shit to explain why human Jax is still a dude and acts like that term should be common knowledge.
Just wait until an official TADC encyclopedia gets published. At the rate this is going, you’ll probably need one to “really understand” the show. It’s honestly lazy, and I wish people would stop doing this to retroactively add canon because it was too poorly written in the main show.
