I find the idea that transition would somehow "save" Jax kind of dishonest. These kinds of people only become more insufferable once they become "true and honest selfs". Next thing you know he will be running up to Caine and demanding "more feminine model and voice" like he is an HR or something and making creepy advances towards other female circus members (if Gangle's "mind palace segment" is anything to go by)
Never forget that post-transition Jax explicitly oversteps boundaries and would probably follow through with asking two close friends of his to have sex.

This is Gooseworx after getting the axe wound, by the way. Should really be more careful with word of god Bluesky shitposts in combination with previous word of god tumblr posts, it paints a really nasty image.

Revisiting Soma after the TADC finale has been interesting.

Soma addressed the divergent experiences between an individual and their brain-scan. It's a commentary by Mark Sarang. For an instant, they are in fact the same person, but because their experiences are going to be different, they very quickly stop being the same.

Applied to TADC, no way Jax and his IRL femboy counterpart are the same.

Why not explore this?

Because troon cope that being a trans or an 'uncracked egg' is as intrinsic and will definitely carry over into your brain scan.

If I had a nickel for every time a Glitch show tried to make the audience feel bad for a sadistic psychopath I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice in a row.
And it will happen many more times. Something about this school of writing makes holding people accountable impossible if they are female or a male with sex appeal for the target demographic.
You're telling me that my Patrick Bateman lifestyle impression is not only inappropriate but stupid?
Don't listen to him king. True sigmas ignore the opinions of others.

I watched the finale last night and I have some thoughts. Apologies because I know several of these points have come in the thread, but I can't be bothered to individually respond.

Overall my reaction to the finale:

Unlike many of you in this thread, I actually like TADC quite a bit. I'm not a "fan" and I would never interact with the community under any circumstances, but the show was enjoyable and it was really cool to see something fully produced in Blender. I think the show had a lot of strong points, delivering well on psychological horror elements and exploring the concept of "what makes consciousness"

However, this finale was the biggest fucking piece of dog shit I've ever watched. A chaotic mess of editing and poor writing that had me gagging from start to finish.

I knew going in that Gooseworx was a disgusting tranny who would never be able to separate his crippling tranny-ness from his artwork. Honestly though? I thought Pomni was the self insert. And maybe it is for is "fem" persona, but that's irrelevant.

Making Jax the tranny, canonically, thru social media, was the fucking worst decision he could have made. It should have been done IN UNIVERSE in a way that was inarguable. The reason it was left vague and announced on social media is because doing it any other way would have 1000% alienated the finale from most people. At least this way he can keep the vague posting and plausible deniability..... IF HE HADN'T MADE IT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE FUCKING FINALE!!

The finale changes the context of the entire story of the Digital Circus.

Jax is the antagonist of the show, and he always has been. He racks up a kill count of 4 (His mother, Ribbit, Kaufmo, and himself) while Caine has never killed anyone, instead proving repeatedly that he can't even do real damage to anyone in the circus.

From the flashbacks we can see that before Jax spawned in, no one had a problem with The Circus. We don't have evidence that a single person abstracted before Jax arrived. Kinger was sane, everyone was happy, then Jax the disgusting tranny showed up and started causing literally all the problems.
A tranny arrived and started driving people to suicide for the first time ever (in world)
Unintentionally, Gooseworx actually provided the most accurate representation of a tranny in all of media. He made the canonically trans character the most insufferable, irredeemable piece of shit in the entire show and somehow his followers have latched on to this being a "good representation"

I like what people have said about how "Jax is what happens when you repress your trans-ness" because it illustrates how fucking disconnected all these trannies are from how they are perceived.

Every tranny who's like "oh I USED to be a Jax, UNTIL I TRANSITIONED" are neglecting the fact that the MAN who Jax's brain scan is based on.... IS STILL A MAN!! Zero mention of him transitioning in the real world, no consequences for killing his mother, in fact the "human" is doing well and living as a man and assumedly not causing anyone to fucking kill themselves.

IF Jax was a representation of what happens when someone "rejects their trans-ness" then the REAL HUMAN the brain scan was based off of would be doing the same, if not worse, than their digital counterpart.

All this discourse is really doing is outing all trannies for being insufferable awful people who can only relate to the worst character of the show, for the most retarded reasons.

The editing for the finale was trash. Many scenes were artificially inflated to boost run time (like the scene with Cain). Additionally, there were several scenes and voicelines that were just straight up re-used from earlier in the show. Forgivable for some flashbacks.

Having Jax ACK of screen was confusing at best and neglected the opportunity to have a fun death scene. This just speaks to the disdain and disrespect Gooseworx has to his own characters. It really seems like he was itching to kill Jax off, which is incredibly ironic considering this is his self-insert.

Over the course of the show, Jax seems to only befriend people so he can gaslight them into killing themselves. He shows no remorse for his actions and when he achieves his goal of murder by suicide, he simply moves onto the next target. The only reason he abstracted in the finale is because he couldn't convince Pomni to abstract, which had clearly been his goal for several episodes. Classic tranny logic: Kill yourself or I'll kill myself.

The ribbit/kaufmo stuff is really disturbing because while the fans try to play it off as some sort of hedgehog's dilemma, it seems pretty clear to me that there is INTENTION behind his gaslighting and abuse. Its clear that he despises EVERYONE and is devising the best way to fuck with them at any given time. He isn't some helpless innocent passenger on this journey. He actively despised, abused, and tortured anyone who would even TALK to him. Just look at his interpretation of Pomni. She wants to help him? He would rather kill her than accept help. Trannyism in a nutshell.

Cain getting a conscious suddenly didn't make any fucking sense. He's a computer program, an AI that can talk to itself. Theoretically, an AI of this nature would be able to have these kinds of extended conversations instantaneously and should be smart enough to have a "conscious" from minute one, if it is capable of it AT ALL. The implication that the AI can grow and change, but Tranny Jax can't even make his digital persona a woman without killing himself is deeply entertaining. The computer is capable of change and humanity, the tranny is not.

The whole connection to the real world thing was superfluous, poorly done, and had little to no emotional impact. Would have been better to keep it vague, but this is the nature of trannies; to try and beat you over the head with a point instead of letting anyone infer anything ever.

Moral of the story is to never interact with trannies, never try to help them, because if you do, they'll do everything they can to try and get you to kill yourself.

Overall Score:
Show: 6/10
Finale: 1/10
Dunking on the trannies: 11/10

His mom is fine considering his IRL self is walking around free. Also it is implied Caine made Scratch lose his mind, but that idea is never brought up again.
We don't have evidence that a single person abstracted before Jax arrived. Kinger was sane, everyone was happy, then Jax the disgusting tranny showed up and started causing literally all the problems.
Kinger was likely not sane (did he even get a speaking line in the flashback) due to his whole party abstracting so he is familiar with the concept. But I agree that after Ribbit abstracting the rest of the cast should have had a meeting on what to do about him because he is a massive liability to their safety and stability.

>Transcoded character is toxic, abrasive, abusive and demonstratively dangerous to the microcosm society depicted. Displays severe anti social and psychotic traits and even when presented with the opportunity and means to seek help, refuses violently.

>Transpeople: "Omg I feel seen and represented"

This reminds me of V's fake out death in Murder Drones where the characters were like "WAA WAA, I CAN'T BELIEVE V IS DEAD, WAA!" and my only reaction was "Um, who cares? She was a fucking psychopath who enjoyed torturing people, why am I supposed to give a shit?"
Even as a robot, V is still more of a woman than Cooper or his self-insert will ever be.

Never addressed. Your guess is as good as mine. She's both alive and dead until Goosworx comments on it directly. Schrodinger's Mom.
Also it is implied Caine made Scratch lose his mind, but that idea is never brought up again.
I completely forgot about that, but that's fine because apparently Goosworx did too
Kinger was likely not sane (did he even get a speaking line in the flashback) due to his whole party abstracting so he is familiar with the concept.
Again, never addressed. I'm inferring here, but that's on me for trying to infer anything from the HRT induced fever dream of nonsense. Nothing is real unless its directly stated; and even then it may be retconned based on tranny feelings.
But I agree that after Ribbit abstracting the rest of the cast should have had a meeting on what to do about him because he is a massive liability to their safety and stability.
It doesn't really seem like anyone else knew what Ribbit and Jax were going thru. Not even Kaufmo knew what was going on. Did none of them even talk to each other independently? All very strange and contrived. God forbid the tranny know how to write natural and organic interactions between characters.

Late to the party I know, but it being revealed that that all of the "victims" in The Amazing Digital Circus are just digital copies of otherwise fine people in the real world really takes away from the horror, symbolism and weight of what the idea of Abstraction is meant to represent.

he only reason he abstracted in the finale is because he couldn't convince Pomni to abstract, which had clearly been his goal for several episodes. Classic tranny logic: Kill yourself or I'll kill myself.
After Ragatha and the others saved Pomni from abstracted Jax, Pomni was glitching and was showing signs of corruption before Caine healed her. Jax's actions would still slowly kill her.

Proving the point that sodomites do ruin everything they touch

100% agree. Even what we got was too much. It would have been better to keep everything vague and not answer any questions.
A much better ending would be to confirm the brain scans, but not confirm that the cast is "copies"
There does not need to be a real world connection at all. It sours the whole show

The overall show was entertaining, but the finale sucked big time, I wonder why they decided to have Jax abstract offscreen. Also the finale feels like a sort of compromise, like say Groose wanted to have only 9 episodes but Glitch wanted their biggest IP to run forever, so it ended in a way that would allow for an eventual season 2 in case the other shows bomb.

I wonder why they decided to have Jax abstract offscreen.

I actually don't have a problem with this. Abstracting is supposed to be akin to suicide, and the perspective of people like Pomni mirrors how people experience someone they know killing themselves in many instances. One day they're there, and the next you just find out they're not. No drama, no explanation, no closure. You just suddenly are presented with this fact after seeing them walk away the day before. So, to that extent, this was effective in imparting the sudden shock and open ended confusion that happens when someone acks themselves.

I know it was brought up earlier in the thread, but since Jax being trans is the main thing we're all talking about, I'd like to reiterate it for everyone

To translate "Boymoder" into normal human language, Leeroy IS trans, but since he hasn't come out to his friends, he still dresses like a guy. They really couldn't just cast a woman/trans woman to play Leeroy, or ask Leeroy's actor to actually dress as a woman, or cast someone who would be willing to do so.

Also, am I crazy, or was there literally NO indication that Leeroy was supposed to be trans, and the fact that he was "boymoding" the whole time is something only ever confirmed by Goose's post here?

I also just love the "probably" before confirming that he goes by "Lee". It's almost like none of this was thought up ahead of time or something.
