When people want immortality, they want a continuous existence. Constantly rebooting and having your life experience set back to the past save sounds like hell and opens the question if the new you is still you or is a new entity which means in your escape from death you just damned your clones to unlimited deaths.
I mean if the new you thinks they're just respawning from the old you, have "you' really died if "you" keep at it after a hundred-plus deaths? To me it's basically just a move evolved teleporter paradigm, the new you thinks they're just part of an unbroken chain of yous. And the old you- or in this case the abstracted yous can't really chip in and argue against it.

As the one that went on that whole rant about how Jax's whole character is being an irredeemable asshole and how public perception of Jax shifted when they revealed him as trans, it's depressing to see it all laid out that the two perspectives people have of Jax are:
He's a bad trans rep because trans people are perfect and can do no wrong
He's a good trans rep because he's only a bad person because he didn't transition.
I almost want to take back everything I said because it's frankly embarrassing for me to make arguments about how "Jax being a bad person who happens to be trans could be a good showcase on how anyone has the potential to be horrible people, even if they're trans", then see them make a similar argument, but twist it into "Jax being a bad person who happens to be trans is a good showcase on how trans people who don't transition become horrible people".
It's also sad and pathetic to see those people proudly proclaim that "Oh, I relate to Jax because I'm a trans person and I used to be horrible like that, but I'm better because I transitioned". None of them ever stopped to think that not every trans person goes through the experiences and process exactly the same way, and that maybe crashing out and being toxic to people trying to be nice ISN'T tied to being trans, rather they might've just been horrible people at some point.
Its also hilarious to see them assume that everyone who makes the argument that Jax is a bad rep because they think trans people are supposed to be perfect are cishet. As someone who frequents JelloApocalypse's thread, I can assure you, queerfolk are perfectly capable of believing transgender depiction needs to be absolutely perfect and deny everything else.
Not that it matters either way, though. Looking back, I was so caught up in what Jax could've been and what people say Jax is that I completely forgot what Jax was supposed to be
Jax is explicitly goose's self insert and goose never gave jax any benefit of doubt ever. Goose always made sure to remind people to not make excuses for jax, that despite being his favourite character he is not a good person and is irredemable etc.
Even post death, goose doesn't imply Jax was a victim of circunstance (which he was in the circus) or a flawed human, he says "if only Jax wasn't a piece of shit, he could've been happy". I believe Goose thinks Jax is him from a bad timeline. What he would've become (DEAD) if he didn't transition and stayed a "piece of shit". The past self that he hates.
He was never anything more than Goose's pre-transition self insert. A horrible person for Goose to beat down and turn into a martyr for his own self-validation for transitioning.
In a sad, depressing way, I guess those Twitter people were right. The point of Jax's character is to be a dumpster fire of a human being, die, then affirm to trans people that they were right to transition, because if they hadn't, they'd turn into Jax. Who needs to reflect and realize that they were a horrible person, when they can just blame it all on a lack of hormones, right?

Why Pomni in particular? Ragatha (best girl) and Ribbit both were open to being his friend and Ribbit got the closest to him but he pushed her away and completely shunned her even when she wanted to help him until she gave up and abstracted. Is the message that girls need to be like Pomni and just have endless tolerance for his bullshit because she is just one more hug away from finally fixing him?
She strikes me as an enabler. She is fine for cheering up someone who is a little down, but she is ABSOLUTELY the worst person to try an fix Jax because she does not push back on his abuse.
What Jax really needed is some dude to kick the shit out of him for a week straight until
he stops being a faggot. Like if everyone just stopped talking to him until he stopped being "le ironic cartoon character" he would've changed. But unfortunately he got stuck with a bunch of women so they kept tolerating his shitty behavior and giving him second chances until he committed suicide.
