Late and gay, but I finally managed to watch the finale without getting spoiled somehow, and... I found it to be pretty lackluster... but not unexpected all things considered.
TADC's main flaw is that you can only truly enjoy the series as much as you enjoy its creator and I absolute hate it for it. Every single scene in the finale revolves around Goose's personal life in some shape or form, and anything that isn't a shot of two characters crying like manchildren gets easily discarded upon:
-Why does Jax abstracts off-screen? Because his abstraction isn't important, it's a vehicle that the characters uses so he can redeem himself, and Goose can say whatever they want throught their mouth, cuz Jax is a Goose self-insert
-Why almost every single conflict besides the Jax "mind palace thing" gets solved almost instantly? Because a conflict with actual stakes isn't important, it's a vehicle for the characters to be able to develop between scenes, and an easy way to Goose expose her thoughts more freely as an artist.
-What's the history behind CA, the company behind the Circus? The history isn't important, it's a vehicle so the characters can grow and have therapy scenes about them, which also reflects on Goose's struggles that they had when growing up
-How can Caine, an AI made in the 90's, have access to Web 3.0 internet? The plot hole isn't important, it's a vehicle so the characters can finally find meaning in a stagnant life by seeing their real-life counterparts having a good life out there, which would ya know, also reflects on Goose's personal life.
In a way, enjoying TADC is similar to enjoying something like Sonichu, I wouldn't say TADC is "so bad its good" like Sonichu's, but you can only truly appreciate Goose and Chris-chan's "art" with the context of knowing what their personal life is, and to me, while art is indeed a form of self-expression, a true masterpiece should be appreciated by its own merits rather than its creators' biases.
Overall, TADC is just a mediocre series that had a strong and interesting premise, but became something less and less as things went on. A world made for high potential, but a boring story was told instead of a fantastical one.
also the murder drones finale was better lol.
