The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer

Okay, whoever was talking about Jax being trans and this ruining things, you all are fucking retarded lmao It's left very ambiguous what his whole "personal secret is" and the closest we get is Gooseworx claiming Jax is a self insert and Ribbit putting her ribbon on Jax as a physical sign of trust. The troon hysteria is real, it can literally be anything and you just want to be angry.

Anyways, I liked the ending. I'm glad that they didn't just magically unabstract Jax. Sticking to that is good.

lol toy story

something thats better than the clown fest. is there anything the clown show does better than the original toy story? maybe the animation is better but its not that much better and thats sad because toy story came out in 1995 and even then i still think toy story has the better animation

The End of Troonvangelion

Honestly the finale was better than expected, only like fifteen minutes was about the asshole troon rabbit. Fewer realistic panic attacks and therapy sessions than I expected. I thought Caine in the shell was visually interesting, and the live action reveal set up a good ending with the bus scene. The ending feels cobbled together like the writers weren’t sure how to end it besides the brain scans. We aren’t going to see the others that got scanned in? What happened with the Australian NPCs or the posing figure NPC? What was the last door that Jax had boarded up? So those abstracted guys are basically in digital Sheol forever huh?

As much as I'm personally not thrilled with yet another Toy Story (shit should've died at the third installment), I look forward to this raping TADC

Oh god zoomers and gen Alpha are glazing it on youtube for having basic plot elements "OH MY GOD IT'S SO COOL, HE LOOKED AT HIS HAND WHEN HE PUSHED POMNI AND WHEN HE REMEMBERED HE PUSHED HIS MOM" You can really tell they've mostly been exposed to what amounts to bright flashing colors and loud noises as ipad kids

It was just so poorly edited that it's impossible to tell what's happening when.

EVERYTHING in this rushed travesty was so poorly edited you can't tell what's happening when.

When I first saw the ACK!-stracted Jax running around on the circus grounds, I thought it was showing that the abstractions had escaped from their confinement after Caine's poofing.

Even the dialogue after didn't make it clear on first watch that this was Jax gone RAAAR and not another abstract running around loose.

I hope you are sarcastic, otherwise you'd be soyjacking at the title of every chapter of One Piece.
Or character in Death Stranding.
At least in Death Stranding the character names are relevant to their character, even if super on the nose. Pomni meaning remember doesn't reflect her as a character at all and I suspect during a very early draft amnesia was going to be a plot point but was dropped and they kept the name anyway.

There is a good story buried in this finale. But Gooseworx commits the grave sin of every amateur writer: resolving the tension of one event before moving on to the next event. Which is a fine mistake to make when you're learning the ropes. Like, your first attempts at writing or bad fanfiction that never sees the light of day but is important to your development of the craft.

But with the internet and the indie animation scene you now have inexperienced writers with their baby projects thrust onto the world stage -- they're still in the process of learning to write, but these developing writer projects then get prodcued by 'indie' studios with hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars behind them. Great production quality for fanfiction-tier scenarios and pacing.

Gooseworx needed an experienced head writer, or at least a script doctor on call, to help with plotting.

Example from the finale's beginning:

>Caine is deleted
>Kinger explains what happened
>Everyone but Jax drops it.

Tension gone.

>The series-long overarching question of mind scans
>Kinger explains it
>Question gone.

Tension gone.

So what does the episode have left to keep the viewer's attention? Oh, the world is destroyed and our main character, Pomni, is feeling hopeless. Ah, so the episode is about rebuilding her internal sense of self, reflected in the circus rebuilding back to its original, colourful self. That's cute--

>Kinger and Pomni talk it out
>He cheers her up
>Internal journey over

Tension gone. Less than five minutes into the finale and we've resolved all of these questions one at a time. At least we can watch the characters struggle to rekindle their hopes, friendship, and there's still the circus to rebuild over the runtime of an hour--

>Two and a half minute montage of learning how to make things with their minds
>All the characters except Jax reconcile and start working together

Tension gone.

Fuck. Well, there's still Jax. We've have had several episodes and much runtime dedicated to him struggling not to abstract. Oh, when that moment happens it's going to be glorious, and ugly, and messy, and cathartic in the worst way. What a unique viewer experience--

>smash-cut to Jax already abstracted
>payoff erased

Tension gone.

Shit. Ah, so maybe the finale is about everyone's reactions to Jax's abstraction, how they have to try and stop him from rampaging while fighting their internal feelings about him. Ragatha and Jax have a complicated history. I'll be fascinated to see how she goes about this while fighting him at the same time--

>Ragatha gets upset about Jax.
>Pomni hugs her.
>She feels better.

Tension gone.

And this is within the first twelve minutes of this finale. What the fuck do we as viewers have left to keep us watching? Gooseworx literally cannot move on to the next scene without first resolving the current scene's tension. I'm not doing the entire finale but it is literally every scene.

This isn't even getting into the whole Caine bit near the end. Notice how everything with Jax was resolved first before we even got a hint of what was happening with Caine? Why the fuck wouldn't Gooseworx write the opening scenario so the world is destroyed, everyone is despondent, Jax has abstracted and is rampaging, Pomni is at her lowest, while Caine is actively fighting with his other personality about whether or not he should go back and kill them all. JUST LOOK AT ALL THOSE STRANDS OF TENSION OVERLAPPING WITH EACH OTHER. WOW! HOW CAN OUR HEROES POSSIBLE RESOLVE THEM ALL WITHOUT DYING? I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO WATCH AND FIND OUT!

It's ludicrously amateur writing.

i haven't read this thread for 50 pages and i don't want to but I did see someone mention "Isn't She Lovely?" playing in a Jax scene and holy shit. Oh my god. I didn't think it was the Stevie Wonder song, I thought it was going to be an original but same titled song that fit the scene. I was trying not to burst out laughing when it started playing because it was so out of nowhere and inappropriate for the tone
